Aperture knows that most of us have an unhealthy habit of overusing our devices with little productivity. And he knows that his voice is heard to his followers, so he spreads the good word, and gives everyone hope. Instead of simply following through with just the entertainment. He puts useful information out, and expresses it in a both relaxing and entertaining way. I could listen to him ramble on about life advice, and be able to pay attention the entire time.

Thank you Aperture. And when does portal 3 come out?

I was painfully conscious of my every action until I turned 19.
I would reevaluate everything everytime I did anything. Was great for getting very good at simple task, but was also very exhausting and made it difficult to do anything regularly. Social interactions were the worst, there is so much going on most people don't realize. At some point I allowed my brain to go back into autopilot sometimes, slowly but surely. Took me almost a year to allow my unconscious brain to take over. I can't believe how many things I do on autopilot now and it's often scary. I don't want to live my whole life zoned out, but I think I'm going to have to if I want to enjoy living.

Im guilty of all of what was described about bad habits especially the timer on apps that are so addicted that you really want to avoid. It impacted me in many ways adding to my depression which intensified all those bad habits. But understanding the part where you, "gradually add small good habits and not changing them all instantly overnight, " made me realize there is still a chance to change. My old habits like exercising, sleeping early, and studying at night with focus all disappeared. Cellphone overuse, sleeping late, proscrastination, ruminating bad thoughts became rampant afterwards... This video taught me to do things gradually and not instantly... I already felt the effects of burnout, more depression, and disappearance of motivation if the good habit you were forming failed... Thanks to this video. I'll consider again but this time, doing it on my pace. THANK YOU!🤗😭

I'm now months away reaching the age of 30's, i don't have a gf while most of my friends are married and have children of their own, i'm overweight, and stuck on a business my family have... it may looked like my life sucks, but after i watched this video, about pairing a bad habit with a good habit as a reward, it open a revelation to instead of looking at the possitives of my married friends' life, i need to look at the negatives on their pov. like for example, i may not hang out with my friends anymore since they're busy with their married life, yet i got all the time to roam wherever i want since there'll be no nagging wife that will wait for me at home, and i don't need to worry about paying bills and feeding children and all other stuffs they stress about.

I just like how the video starts with a habit (brushing teeth) I had to teach myself to do in my adult life. What this experience tought me was this: WRITE YOUR GOALS DOWN!
Just after I said "Fuck it, I write this down and I will do it from now on" I magically forced myself even when I was too tired etc.

Look, this channel has changed so much my perspective of this world and I'm so thankful, I'm happy, I've learned how to live my life with less, I learned how to accept myself since then, people ask me how I did it, they call me Miyagi for some reason, I used to be an angry person full of hate but now I'm just in so much peace, I'm unrecognizable and I feel good.
