The Best Hip Flexor Stretch Known to Man!

If you sit all day, especially in an office setting, you know that your hip flexors are getting tight from your sitting position. If this is you, then I have the greatest hip flexor stretch of all time that will start to loosen them up. This one is a game changer and will not only have you feeling amazing, but it’s a stretch that I do every day, myself.

Having tight hip flexors is a chronic problem for people that sit all day when they are working. In oder to stretch the hip flexors, you will want to get into a lunge position to start with one knee on the ground. From here, push your hips forward to feel the stretch on the hip flexors on the back leg. While doing this, put your hands behind your head and rotate your torso to the side of your forward leg.

I've spent the last 8 months with upper back problems, keeping me from being as active as I was. Doing the routine in the full length video as well a few others I've been able to alleviate so much pain and be active again in just the last month. Big thank you to Jeff.

Getting into a posterior pelvic tilt position (think a dog tucking it's tail between it's legs) before beginning to lean into this stretch can help immensely. This is one of my favorite stretches! Thanks Jeff!

If you engage your glute of the side that you wanna stretch (hip flexor that is stretched side) your pelvis will be on posterior tilt and that is a tremendous way. No need to go deep and leave my leg so far behind. I agree with the extra rotation and tilt.

Had lombar pain for a few weeks when sitting or lying down for too long (work and sleep basically) and this helps a lot!

Nice stretch! Get that psoas real nice. I do this arms over head, with the arm on the side I’m twisting too pulling the arm on the side I’m stretching up and into the lean to really get that core stretch as well
