Tight Hip Flexors

preview_player
Показать описание
Lots of people spend hours stretching their hip flexors without ever getting long term relief.

This is because conventional stretches only target ONE of TWO hip flexors attachment points in the body.

If you want long term hip flexor mobility, you have to address the pelvic component of the hip flexors.

To address the pelvic component of the hip flexors, the body weight needs to be shifted backward.

Try this front foot elevated position to get your hips shifted back AND add length to the hip flexor muscles!

Can you please make a more comprehensive video on this? I been having a tight psoas on the right side for 2 years after I fell onto my bottom and I get seem to get rid off it ultimatively. I'm already working on trying to release my back tension and the rib flare..

Is this what a 90 90 does? Inhibit the hip flexors?

I think this is what happened. I walked up the steps leaned forward to push gluts back as I walked 5 step, I heard n felt my left front hip it snapped a ligament (?). It hurt slightly for a few hours. No LONGER DO I GAVE THIS ISSUE!

In the off chance that you would see this comment and respond, could you do a video regarding maintaining a neutral pelvis while driving? Or how to best have your seat adjusted while driving?

Forward posture can cause adaptive shortening but the HF don’t pull you FW in a standing position; it’s gravity assisted. And I am really hoping you are not recommending a SKTC position to encourage ipsilateral posterior pelvic tilt without actually addressing the issue of HF hypertonicity/adaptive shortening. You have to refer back to ICF classification of hypomobility and common diagnoses.

I'm actually doing the reverse of this, my posture started shifting to leaning back to compensate (and over compensate) for my weight gain during and after puberty, and I didnt notice. but now that I have, I find that walking essentially like a duck (shoulders back, butt stuck out backwards) without the waddle can really speed me up and feels like my thighs move better (haha I can finally keep pace with my dads long strides) of course this is tiring so I'm going slow about it to increase time doing it for better posture.

You don't know too. The main cause is L4 nerve root impingement
