Welcome to part of Day 4! Now that you've stretched your body with a 10 minute morning yoga class, you're ready to learn your simple daily challenge for a flexible mind.

Today's challenge is based around the one-word intention: REMEMBER

Let's get creative today. I want you to think of a cherished memory from your childhood and then DRAW or PAINT IT! Please don't worry about not being a "good artist" or anything like that. It's not about the finished result, it's about stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new. Bonus points if you choose to share it with us over in our Facebook group. Have fun with it!

*Let's get CREATIVE without judgement! Don't focus so much on the end result, focus on the process and trying to find joy in letting yourself do something new. If you don't have any happy memories from childhood feel free to focus on a recent one or any other time of your life! Adapt any of my challenges to suit your needs. This is about flexibility after all.*

This one is tough as someone who doesn't have a child memory that makes me "light up with joy". I grew up in a cold, unloving environment that did not welcome the natural joys and expressions of a child. So what I have chosen to do instead is to "Remember" to give my inner child some love and create something that represents that.

I never comment, but today I will. This is day 4 of me staying consistent with yoga. I've been off and on for the last 2 years or so and today. I feel like a brand new person. Following this flow I had the best hip pop of my life as I sit down at work all day and have had problems with the left side. This 30 day challenge is doable and I'm so glad it's 10 minutes as it's not hard to fit this in your morning routine. Thank you for helping me to remember my body and take care of myself

Today's challenge started off looking like my childhood self had drawn it LOL but after I added some color, it wasn't too shabby. Bringing the memory to life on paper made it so much more real and bought up some really feel good vibes. It was a great experience from beginning to end. In fact I've decided to leave it out where I can see it, to extend those happy feel good vibes.🥰

I drew a picture of my brother and I in our leaf nest under one of the pear trees behind our farm house. What makes me remember this so well is the smell of Autumn leaves and pears so ripe they fall from the trees.

This is soo aligned with me. This morning before doing the yoga, my spirit called me to a coloring book. I took out all my materials and took a picture. Then I started the yoga portion of the challenge. Then I came to the next video of the mind and you gave the word and the activity 😮 Remember and I was already prepared. 😮 Thank you 🎉 TODAY IS GOING TO BE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

That's so nice, thank you Cassandra! ❤❤ I have loved collecting flowers and leaves in my childhood and nowdays as an artist I create mixed media paintings using pressed florals. When I am in the process my inner child is so-sooo happy 🥰✨️maybe it's time to create again a pressed floral journal! ❤

How fun!! I love the day 4 challenge!! My beautiful memory: Age 4-5, running around my grandparents grassy backyard in the Summer Sunshine in my dress after Sunday Church and watching my grandmother clothespin the bed sheets to the clothesline! I loved running between the sheets and holding my little hands out to touch the fabric! ❤ The smell of fresh cut grass from the neighbor's mowing and the slightly bitter smell of the Marigolds she loved that lined the South side of the house...hundreds of beautiful orange and yellow Marigolds. She said they helped keep the rabbits away from the garden. :)

I am going to try to locate the fb group and post a picture later. 😊❤

This will be pretty far out of my comfort zone because though I am an artist, I'm very perfectionistic (currently working on that in therapy!) & I have a tendency to not create things unless I know I can do them "perfectly", & the items in the memory that sticks out to me aren't things that I see myself being particularly good at drawing. But this goes well with the practice I'm doing right now to try things and train myself to be ok with just ok!
The memory I'm choosing is of the fairy tea parties my mom & I would set up on midsummer's Eve, complete with tiny tea sets, tea & sugar water, tiny berries & snacks, & furniture we made from acorn caps, twigs, & moss, surrounded by candles. I'm excited to try! I get the feeling that it'll turn out better than I'm expecting. 😂

Really loving the flexible mind challenges even more than the yoga! I very much appreciate you putting so much thought and care into these!

I love this! Finally I have a craft project to work on alongside my avid crafty daughters at home. This will be fun!
I identify with the person who mentioned a lack of nice childhood memories. Perhaps making something based on a memory you want to remember or savior might be a good alternative too - like capturing the sunlight on a leaf, a beautiful insect (butterfly), or just the essence of a gorgeous colour you’ve seen that day…?
Making memories is as wonderful as keeping them.
Thanks so much for this challenge Kassandra! ❤

Challenge— the nature of the word is beauty of the process of remembering.

My favorite childhood memory is riding bikes with my dad and my siblings on our way to the estate swimming pool every Saturday... The ride was through a foresty road with hills and we would race each other.... Imma try and draw that😅

I love to draw even if I'm not good in arts. But when I think of my childhood joyful memories, the first thing comes in my mind is sad memories. I tried to to remember at least some good things happen in my childhood and in that joyful memories there is sadness in it

Read my poem with a strong kiwi lady accent…

Across State 1, over the creek behind the mill,
Lays a paddock of magic
I found as a girl.

The faun wind made me light,
So I danced and I sang,
And the paddock was magic,
the one I were in.

I'm a little behind the days. I just did this day 4 challenge and I loved it. Sometimes I forget that I am creative. Where can I share my drawing? I'm really proud of it ❤
