Welcome to part of Day 3! Now that you've stretched your body with a 10 minute morning yoga class, you're ready to learn your simple daily challenge for a flexible mind.

Today's challenge is based around the one-word intention: SILENCE

This one is simple but so powerful! I want you to cut out all technology for 3 full hours today. No phone, no tv, no computer, no distractions. You can do this at any time during the day. Focus on cultivating internal silence and notice how often you want to reach for your phone or fill silence with media. See how else you can fill your time and embrace SILENCE.

I went for an hour's walk with Samantha my dog on the country roads and send healing prayers to two neighbours who have cancer and also healing support to their families. I checked my gardens for pests and placed hay on my compost piles for about an hour. I listened to the sounds of nature while in the gardens. Linda

I really didn’t want to do this, but I’m so glad I did! I sat outside in a hammock reading a book, and it was so therapeutic! It really cleared my mind of a lot of negative thoughts.

The digital distraction addiction is real! I'm not huge into tech but even I found out about 2 years ago how much I filled my time with it. Digital/media free time is a huge blessing, but it took me time to appreciate it and not feel like I was in withdrawal. 😊

This is going to be a great challenge. I'm not sure I can do 3 hours, but I may start with an hour so that I can be successful. I plan to read a book about the York Princes in the Tower of London. It's written by an English historian. So I'm excited. Thank you for this challenge, Kassandra. Your classes have saved my life so many time.

I did it 🎉 first i was nervous and worried because i HATE boredom but I try connecting with my soul and God, don't fight my feelings, finish all my to-do list, clean the whole house, oiling my hair, take the best slow long shower ever, self care, did my hair, make coffee and put my favorite pajama . It turns to wonderful evening ✨️ 🎉🎉🎉🎉 THANKS A LOT 😘

I started the challenge a bit later, so today is my Day 3. I was very excited to do today's challenge and I can happily say I was quite successful! Sure, I couldn't do zero technology because I had plans for the evening and people needed to contact me, so I did answer one or two messages, but that was IT. I craved my phone a lot and bravely fought to refrain from picking it up! I'll definitely do this more often. The hardest thing was to sit on my couch and not turn the TV on but I made it! I'm very proud of myself and very grateful for this challenge 🎉

I wasn’t sure if I could do it — I’m quite addicted to my phone — but I’m so proud of myself that I did!! I cleaned the house, scrubbed the toilets, got bored, rearranged my room, took a shower, ate dinner, had a conversation with my partner, and read a book. The discomfort of not having my usual set of distractions started to ebb away around the 2 hour mark; by the time 3 hours rolled around, I was fully immersed in a book and feeling calmer than I have in weeks. Ready for an early bedtime now!!! This was SO good. You’re amazing Kassandra, thank you for coming up with this challenge 🥹🌸🙏🏼

I’ll be doing this this evening. I just spent 3 1/2 days with absolutely no technology, in a remote location. It was beyond fabulous. Thanks Kassandra! 🇨🇦

I really love this challenge. I've been reading Digital Miminalism and I've started carving out more screen-free time before bed. Yesterday I did 2 hours so today I will push myself to do 3 hours!

I love the idea of this challenge and will aim for 30 min. Working full time and sharing a house with others makes 3 hours on a work day not possible for me.

I am SO guilty of this. I listen to interviews and podcasts and the like almost constantly, unless I'm reading or doing something for my university studies, most of which is on my computer... well, there are the lectures, but they're not really in silence... this is something I really really need, so thank you for the challenge and reminder. I was actually challenged to do a mindful everyday activity recently, and as such have for the past week or so been eating my breakfasts completely mindfully, focused on the food, and I have found that to be quite profound. Yesterday I also went out of my comfort zone completely and attended an improv theatre group for three hours, which while not in silence naturally, was without technology, and that was such a wonderful experience, too. I could certainly do with more, though! Thank you again for the gentle reminder <3

This will be interesting as we start holy week at church today hearing up to Easter. I'm definitely going to try more meditating and trying to not use tech so much this week. Looking forward to this challenge. ❤

It’s a great idea but I think I will start with one hour. Reading a book seems good.

Today is the perfect day for this! I have a doctor's appointment, I have to go for my groceries and then I have to go with my brother for his glasses!! Aside from this, I take my dog out for walks 4x a day for 30 minutes at a time!
