Perfect comeback and a great way to get out of the relationship. Watch out for the hoovers and flying monkeys.

I started using that technique a while back.
Well, it does work well.
It shuts them up for a while. Yet, it doesn’t stop the abuse; they’re unstoppable.

Narcissist: "I am hurting you but I am not willing to change. If you don't like it, leave."

I did this and it really jams them up! I began agreeing with all the derogatory things he was saying about me. While laughing to myself. I wanted him gone! I was accused of prostitution being a cheater giving him an STD etc. I told him he has the right to choose to believe whatever he wanted to about me. I let him know that one man's junk is another man's treasure. I thank him for stepping aside and allowing someone else to step up to the plate that can give me the love that I deserved and desired. LOL 😂🤣😂🤣 once I got over the heartache and stop crying I couldn't stop laughing. We're neighbors and now when I see him he's just someone I used to know.

Their favorite go to is "well then why don't you leave?!" Like wtf? Work with me or at least say you recognize you RUINED this good thing with your dishonesty, you're unfaithful... not even respect me/ show gratitude for what I've sacrificed, its ridiculousness

I had an x military Director Of Nurses at my dad's nursing home accuse me of not keeping my dad clean, and not feeding him properly infront of about a dozen of her staff. When it was my turn to talk, in a very military style, she pointed to the door and said very sternly, "Meeting is over!" At which point, all staff, without saying a word, marched right out of the room.
I made the HUGE MISTAKE off running after this DON, shouting it's a lie. At which time she threatened me with calling the police.
Boy! She played me on so many levels....
But I have to say, ... I believe this person ... was far more dangerous than your everyday narcissists. -If this was a just, and fair world, she'd be in jail today. Jail, away from causing anyone else real harm.

Strategic concessions are a good tool. You keep your power.

Agreeing with them and setting them free ends that conversation. They always have another one ready.

This tactical reasoning sounds like a brilliant maneuver, and I HAVE tried it. But the wounds on both sides are so deep, and the needs are so deep, that when I tried it, in the end it only seemed to accelerate our trauma bond and stick us harder together. An avulsion, a brutal ghosting by force: as abrupt and painful as that sounds, was my only route to freedom.

I wonder what would happen if you said, "OK, I can live without you too, so what's the problem"?

If they are narcissists, they will panic and resist. If they are psychopaths, they will leave without a second thought.
