I’ve been through my fair share of those; somewhat of an ‘expert’… Stay very busy, work 2 jobs & hit the gym 5-6 days a week. If you are alone & allow your self to get in your own head it’s terrible. Just stay BUSY. You heal MUCH faster. And also for the love of God cut off all communication after you end it, and give your self at least 6-12 months before trying something new. Moving on shortly after you end it will NOT help you heal faster. Only time does that. Nothing else.

100%. This is why I so admire Mr. Peterson. In order to self improve, I had to STOP trying to control other people's view of me and only focus on controlling my own behavior and communication.
I have also never been able verbalize why I hate "Princess Treatment". Mr. Peterson does it perfectly.
I love when my man buys me flowers and opens the door for me. I love it because I have EARNED it through reciprocation as his woman.

This happened a lot when me and my husband first got married. We put each other on a pedestal and got disappointed a lot. Then we figured out that we’re people with flaws and boy did things get easier

Don’t ever ever EVER put anybody on a pedestal, man or woman. Nope, nope, nope. Never again. And keep your own life going aside from your relationship. Never again will I put a man first and foremost above my own life and well-being.

Only thing that works: no contact and work on yourself for a good few months. To get over it, to build confidence back up and be a better person. Work out, meditate, journal and don’t let anyone take you off that path. Every day will get better and the pain will tie itself to a former you.
