When I go to a traditional American or Steak House /restaurant I focus on the sides. At Texas Roadhouse I get a baked potato, two sides of broccoli, and mushrooms. This is an extremely filling meal!
Many restaurants have stir fry on their menu. You can get this without meat and have them increase the vegetables.

Something that you should also check for at Mexican restaurants is chicken stock in the rice.

Taiwanese vegan foods are some of my favs. Huge variety of soy products (not just tofu!!) and mushrooms, and tons of fresh veggies.

Spanish, Turkish, Greek and other Mediterranean recipes can be easily made oil-free & vegan, eg moussaka, zucchini lasagne, so delicious!

Where I live it's so hard to ask them to make something plant based, I'd rather go straight to a plant based restaurant rather to just a random place. People can be really rude and sneak in meat even on sauces or cheeses even on salads which is such a bummer. Better go to a vegan resturant or eat at home lol nothing could beat that the healthiest choice you can make, cook it yourself. Even vegan resturants they over do it with oils and salt and I end up feeling fatter and with constipation due to salt. Sooo I insist, eat at home and learn how to make bento which is a boxed meal you can bring along if you must go out.

If you get a bagel at Panera, how much salt will it have? Isn’t it 410 mg which is pretty high?

I am really bothered by your misuse of the word Vegan. While some of your listeners/viewers might be vegan, I would imagine that a large percentage are not. The diet/lifestyle that you promote most often is a WHOLE FOOD PLANT BASED DIET. The Vegan Society defines Veganism as "Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose". People who eat a plant based diet and continue to wear leather, or wool, or buy products that are tested on animals are NOT VEGAN. Please call it what it is, a WFPB diet.
