Well, the why “imo” is there’s no fucking way Eddie Hall, or any other 400+ lb strongman, could really even get in position to do sumo. You can go watch Brian Shaw doing it as an accessory in his training. It looks so uncomfortable for him

I think what I love about this is that weak people on the internet are getting into arguments about sumo vs conventional and how sumo pullers aren't real or whatever, and meanwhile the strongest on the entire planet are just congratulating each other. Curious.

Well only thing I disagree with is sumo transferring over to conventional. Whenever I’ve done sumo and not conv my conv just got weaker. However if I train conv my sumo goes up automatically

I had never attempted sumo before and i hit 335 and before my max was 315 conventional

Are there muscle building benefits to sumo vs conventional? I've only done conventional cause that's what we did on the football and rugby teams

I don't like sumo pulling but the argument that guy's need to pull sumo to lift big weights is bs, when all the top conventional deadlifters are built like giants or are absolute mass monsters. Leverages or weight you pick.

I mean the big guys pulling conventional are limited by body weight in how much they can pull sumo, and the sumo pullers who are usually lighter don't have that literal tissue on tissue problem.
