hey! when binge eating snacks, it doesn't mean you are lacking self-control! this mindset can lead to disordered eating patters by connecting your self control/worth with food which should NEVER be done! just wanted to throw that out there because i definitely deal with binge eating but i definitely don't want to connect my worth to if im disciplined around food or not!

remember girls & guys, EAT WHEN YOU'RE HUNGRY!! your bodies deserve it. no matter how much weight you lose, there will always be something you can feel insecure about, being "skinny" won't change that. your mental health is SO much more important. yes, eating healthy and exercising is good, but you shouldn't make yourself unhappy trying to reach unrealistic goals. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! <3

oh yikes the comment about brushing your teeth so youre less likely to eat at night is super triggering for your fellow restrictive eater. FOLKS: eat when you are hungry. don't use food as a weapon. food is fuel that your body naturally craves and needs. do not deprive it of that!! you are so worthy of feeling happy and good about yourself and your body ALL the time in WHATEVER size you are as your body changes!!

5:29 Luca. Babe. I love your channel and the positivity you spread, but this ain't it. You cannot chalk up something that can be considered disordered eating to 'lack of self control' or advise people to 'go as long as they can without eating.' I know that's not what you mean, but this is a very delicate topic and it deserves more attention in terms of how it is phrased and approached.

luca is trying to help those who over eat/binge eat/bored eat, which is super bad for your body. i don't think this video is meant for people who used to have ED. you may want to click off if you used to have an ED, because it may be triggering, but if you suffer from over eating for no reason, these tips are actually super helpful for me! different content is geared towards different people so make sure you watch videos that are geared towards you and your goals! 💞

You guys, maybe Luca has struggled with binge eating and is just sharing what has personally helped her. Also, thank you for being able to talk about things most people won't because it's a touchy subject.

ILY LUCA! Just a personal opinion- weight can be triggering for people, so I’d title the video something not to do with weight a but health x

I get that this video is well intentioned and a lot of the points made are entirely valid (like the importance of knowing the nutritional value of food as opposed to just calories etc), I just think the title of the video is quite problematic. Like it or not you have a younger, impressionable audience who see you as a role mode, and positioning this as a ‘weight loss tips’ video is potentially really dangerous especially for those struggling with disordered eating. I know you’re a big advocate of living a healthy, balanced lifestyle, but the title of this video and what it implies is problematic in my opinion. Also, binge eating is a recognised eating disorder and equating it with a lack of self-control is extremely triggering for sufferers. We need to stop perpetuating the idea that summer = losing weight, it’s damaging and not necessary. Educate yourself on nutrition, eat a balanced diet and exercise to make yourself feel good. That’s all you needed to say.

to the teeth brushing thing: yes all the way!! i used to be an avid late night snacker but brushing my teeth and putting my retainer in right after dinner helps so much! 💓

titling this how to lose weight is very suggestive! just because it is summer doesn’t mean you have to feel like you have to lose weight! this video is very damaging for someone who struggles with an eating disorder

Dream Body = lose weight and get fit? Hmmm not sure about where the body positivity is in that.

I agree with a lot of the comments on here :( I've been struggling with binge eating disorder and bulimic/compensation behaviors as a result and a lot of what you said could be triggering. it's not as simple as putting off eating as long as you can or simply gaining more self-control. It's a disorder and an issue with mental health, and more often times than not isn't something you can control. for example, simply brushing your teeth isn't going to prevent someone with an ED from binging and having an episode. I'm sure your intentions weren't bad but weight loss and restrictive eating equating to health and fitness is just an extremely sensitive and possibly triggering topic.
