Sometimes I wonder how this man is smart enough to know so much about everything. Then I remember, becoming smart is easy, actually.

Losing weight is really easy. Having the motivation to keep doing it is the hard part.

Stopping calorie counting is how I ultimately lost 75 pounds. I focused on getting the nutrients/macros I needed and upping my water intake and stopped eating so many processed foods. The weight came off with much less effort than expected. I also felt less brain fog and more motivation

One of the best decisions I made was to eat an apple every day at 9pm. 9pm is when i get hungry, and the time I find myself snacking the most. By forcing myself to eat an apple at that time, the number of calories I cut down on was a huge amount. My original intention wasnt even to replace my snacking with apples, it was just to eat an apple before snacking. By doing that, I naturally started eating less snacks and started craving apples more.

Edit: to clarify, initially, eating apples helped reduce the number of snacks I was eating because I was feeling physically full sooner and thus I stopped snacking sooner. Eventually, apples (almost) completely replaced my nighttime snacking, and most of my snacks in general.

Also note that you can eat an apple whenever you normally snack, not just 9pm. 9pm is just usually when I snack the most. If 3pm is when you get hungry, eat an apple at 3pm!

Edit 2: There is some debate in the replies about the "healthiness" of eating apples, since they are high in sugar. Apples are high in fiber and will help you stop eating sooner. The fiber also aids in digestion, preventing sugar from being absorbed too quickly. If you are still unsure if an apple is a good snack, you should compare it to whatever you would normally eat. 1 apple is probably healthier than a bag of chips, and has less than half as many calories as a serving of oreos. Its also very easy to overeat chips or cookies, but more difficult to overeat apples. Yes, there are healthier snacks than fruit. But if we are being honest, nobody wants to eat broccoli and plain celery sticks as our go to snack. At least apples are a desirable food to eat, and help me stick to a somewhat healthier diet. God knows I would quit eating celery within a day.

If i am being doubly honest, i still sometimes eat unhealthy snacks from time to time, but that is okay. Switching from 3 cookies per day to 3 cookies per week is still a positive improvement.

Me nodding my head to everything being said and periodically yelling out "that's right" while simultaneously eating a bag of white cheddar snacks and telling myself, "I will definitely start tomorrow".

As someone who has overcome a harsh eating disorder, I wouldn't recommend completely cutting out foods you love, even if they're considered "unhealthy." Instead, try dedicating 80% of your meal to wholesome, nutritious foods, and save 20% for treats you enjoy. Balance will prevent the stress, tension and food obsession that strict dieting causes. Also, drastic calorie cuts will only stress your body, leading it to try and regain what it's losing. You can't fool it :))

"Never say "I'll start tomorrow"."
I love and agree with this, don't start tomorrow, start right now and if you don't want to start right now you weren't going to start tomorrow anyway.

easy actually is just, such a great channel. not some bogus productivity guru, or someone who gives advice that's only applicable to more wealthy and abled people. they're concise and realistic, and are ACTUALLY about things that people think are difficult but are only made difficult by bad information online, and that's what this channel combats

The way I do is this, my profession, my family and my life depends on my health. If I'm fat, out of shape, tired, unconditioned ect I WILL COST people or my life. I have been at that spot of gaining and loosing and gaining ect. This man is correct, be disciplined, make it easy to make good choices not the other way around. YOU HAVE TO BATTLE EVERYDAY. You got this.
