I have this, and a bad back. Thought they were two separate problems but it's the same one. Months of suffering back pain was causing other muscles, mainly the Psoas, to compensate. I was in agony with hip and groin pain. I had the clicking too. New mattress and regularly stretching the psoas muscle has largely fixed it all.

Does stretching and strengthening cure this problem completely, like once it’s gone, it’s gone for good? And also how long will it take for it to heal because I currently have that problem with my right hip. And lastly, once it’s fixed, will it ever happen AGAIN, because assuming it’s already strong and flexible enough, it shouldn’t have the same problem with the same symptoms again right?

How can I tell if I have internal or external snapping hip syndrome? My hip only makes a 'thump' sound when my leg is kept more inside and I raise my leg, but if I raise my leg whilst having it more towards the outside of my body, there is no sound when I lift my leg. I do get lower back pain and I also have patellar maltracking. Thanks for your help.

What about external snapping hip (i.e., IT band snapping over the greater trochanter of the femur)? Does your online program work for that?
