Stop Popping Hips when Exercising

Показать описание
When your hips are popping whilst exercising, you most likely suffer from a tight TFL (Tensor Fasciae Latae) muscle and/or a tight iliopsoas muscle.

The true culprit of these tight muscles is often a weakness somewhere else in the chain, causing the TFL and/or the iliopsoas to compensate and tighten up.

Stop the Hip Pop with these Exercises!

Time Stamp:

00:00 Introduction
01:50 Advanced Hip Stretch, Brettzel 2.0
03:30 Active Pigeon Stretch
04:46 Advanced Iliopsoas and Quadratus Stretch
06:33 7 Ways Hip
09:25 Control the Core Exercises
11:36 Outtro

One can stop the popping sound of the hip when exercising by stretching the right muscles first and strengthening after.

In this video, I demonstrate some very effective hip stretches first and some great strengthening exercises later on in the video.

A popping hip is also known as a snapping hip or a dancer's hip.

This video will help me tremendously. You have no idea how much I will do this(everyday) forever. I had been missing something in this area. I’m very active, noticed weak flutes and hips, attempting my own strength program, and here you are. Thank you !!!

I couldn't even complete any of the strength circuits. have clicking bad in my right hip but feeling how those movements should occur in isolation was eye opening. Going to incorporate into my routine.

Thank you! Yes. This gives a direction to focus on and your 100 percent correct- for our situation this is stemming from weakness in the hip. Daily PT as we age and live- need daily stretching!

Thanks for this video. I went to 7 different Orthopedic and none of them had a diagnose for my hip pain. I got x-rays and MRI and they could not find anything wrong. They didn't even mention anything about SHS. We came across this just now after 7 yrs and the pain started to come back as of right now. This was the only thing that made any sense to what is causing my hip pain and clicking. The only way it got rid of it was to keep any weight off the hip so I was on crutches for about 2 months. I was actually doing a lot of yard work about 12 yards of mulching and not sure if that triggered anything to start again. But the pain didn't come until maybe a few days after. I started to walk around 5 miles a day in the winter but haven't been doing it for awhile with having 3 kids and 3 jobs. I am a software engineer and I'm always on the computer and sitting down which I read that could be the culprit of issue of my SHS. Hopefully this is the issue that the orthopedic could not diagnose. Also will this go away after I strengthen it and do the exercise and never come back or is this something I will have to do the rest of my life for it not to come back?
