The ending made me feel confident after you said you couldn't jump for more than 15 secs cuz that's all I can do lol.

1. Jump 3-4 cm from the ground, not higher unless trick ;
2.bend knees slightly ; jump in the same place ;
3.jump on your toes (to absorb impact); 4.keep hands facing down parallel to the ground ;
5. Use wrists
6.good posture, specifically shoulder blades back
7. Rest ie. Listen to your body

Jumped rope 2 days ago and got sore in my shoulders, deltoid and back muscles. Now I realize it was my technique. Thank you😊 I hope it gets better

Wow!! What a difference 1 video can do.. Started 4 days ago and getting in 320-350 jumps over the 5min sessions.
This video had me adjusting rope size, concentrate on posture and working wrists not arms.
394 jumps and felt actually amazing!! Calves are so tight so I’ll take the rest day advise too.
Cheers guys! Love your work!

Another great video. I've been jumping rope for over 12 months and still find benefits in going back to basics.
Love the vid 👍

Something that I find difficult with jumping rope is a good breathing pattern. Have you guys posted any videos about breathing while jumping rope?

This is a very good tutorial. I've been jumping since November, and it's always good to get reminders.

Tried it out for the FIRST TIME today, for 13 minutes in the driveway. Thank you, Dudes, for the beginner tips. I didn't do any double-jumps, tried to keep my elbows close in and to flick the rope around with my wrists. I had one sequence of 9 jumps. That was an outlier. Couple other times I made 3 jumps before failing. But 95 percent of the time, one of these things happened: (1) one or both of my feet landed ON the rope, stopping everything; (2) one foot cleared the rope but the other didn't, so the rope hit the front of that ankle; (3) I cleared the rope with both feet once but then with the rope behind me, it didn't go up, or out, far enough from my back and hit the back of my head and landed on top of an ear. I am not planning to quit but I must say that it wasn't encouraging out there today.
