The benefit of jump rope for me is that it helps me with my mental health. I've been depressed with life lately, and jump rope has been keeping me sane. My mental health is still a work in progress, but I'm definitely doing my best by doing the thing

When I started, I could barely do 50 skips before my whole body screamed bloody murder. But almost 8 weeks in and I can do 200 on a roll... I'm loosing weight and definitely sleeping better.

If you’re just starting out and you think “this is actual torture there’s no way I’m doing this” then PLEASE just keep at it! It will literally get easier everyday and the results will be worth it!

Dan I SO relate to your message. I'm 55 and used to box and skip when I was a teenager. But I've been out of shape for 25+ years and I am re-starting jumping rope today. I'm 225lbs and a bit worried about my knees. Sigh. I downloaded your app. Thanks for the kickstart!

11 months ago I could barely jump for 30 seconds and Now I m jumping consistently over 2 and half minutes . Surely jump rope improves your stamina and weight loss booster.
Whenever I feel I m getting a little over weight I do jump rope for 20 minutes a day and trust me within 2 to 3 weeks I get my goal weight

Today I had my very first go at using my jump rope! It’s a leather one. I adjusted the length - I’m 5’4 so my rope is 8’4 - Ive watched a couple of your tutorials- re technique, they’re brilliant. I’m keen to get my technique right from day one. I couldn’t believe that I can do it!!! I achieved a max of 12 continuous jumps - and just kept practicing for about 15 mins - a lot of stop starting etc but I loved it. I’ve always jogged, but at 59 I think jump rope will support if not, take over, my jogging. I’m checking out all your vids … and I hit subscribe a couple of days ago. I have a YouTube channel and will feature jump rope on it - representing an older person whose looking for an alternative to jogging, .. but before I do that I’ll give myself time to suss it out! Thanks for your valuable tips - can wait to have another go at it! I’m doing 15 mins of practice every other day … is that about right for a beginner as I stop n start a-lot at mo!

When I started jumping ropes it became addictive very fast and so many benefits. Just the feeling and rush when you keep skipping rope without messing up gives you a sense of accomplishment.

Never heard your message before but I've always been a fan of jumping rope since my disengagement from the military. My very busy schedule meant no time for road work and so I travel with my rope. It's like a blood cleanser. keep up your great work.

I just started jumping rope again for the first time in almost two decades. While I was only able to do two minutes worth of jumping, it felt good that the muscle memory was still there. I'm going to try to keep at it.

I love jumping rope but I only do this once a week, 10mins tops because I focus more in lifting and gaining mo muscles. Thanks for sharing this vid! Very informative.
