The Top 10 reasons You Should NOT move to Miami, Florida and the worst things you NEED to know about moving to Tampa, Orlando, or Jacksonville instead.

What's it like living in Miami? Well first off, there's perfect weather for half the year but the other half is hot and humid with hurricane season and lots of rain during the Summer. It's also, along with Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Jacksonville and Miami Beach Suburbs, one of the 10 best places to live in Florida AND all of America. If Florida has a high quality of life with the most beautiful beaches and sunsets on earth, why shouldn't you live in Miami, Florida?

Thanks for watching From Here to There! This is one of my top ten videos where we explain things about the world, it's history, and geography, starting with the different states, cities, and towns in the United States. Find out the worst and best places to live in 2020!

First time I landed in Miami Airport, I thought I was in a different country.

Everyone was speaking Spanish!!!!

As a Miami native, I'm really impressed by the accuracy of these points. LIterally everyone here complains about the people being stuck-up and stand-off'ish

Miami is a great place to visit but it’s becoming expensive and the people are the worst part. Being from south Florida I never venture to Miami unless I have to. It has a lot of pros but more cons in my mind as well. If you want to be close to Miami and still want a city, I feel Fort Lauderdale is a lot more pleasant to be in

Because it's hot AF, and it's a whole different world in Miami, the locals will tell u that you aren't in US anymore

I've literally lived all over the US (New York, LA, San Diego, Phoenix, Tampa, etc) and travelled all over the world and I've never seen drivers anywhere like Miami. I didn't even know what was going on. It was like a movie scene. Explosions in my rear view mirror. People flying off of overpasses. Cars ramming each other. There are no words. I still to this day don't understand it. Mind blowing.

Culturally latin and diverse
Shopping, museums, architecture, art, and culture
Nightlife and music scene
Amazing winter and spring
Lots of unique areas/ neighborhoods

Cons:

Was born in North Miami 57 years ago and was a great place to grow up. The major changes came about when Castro emptied his jails and mental hospitals in 1980. It created a tidal wave of crime and tent cities were created. Then Hurricane Andrew was devastating for the area in 1992. I have moved from Miami Dade county to Ft Lauderdale and have lived in Palm Beach county for several years. There are nice and terrible people wherever you go in this world. As a third generation Floridian I couldn’t see living anywhere else. It is the different cultures that make us unique. And no I don’t speak Spanish. I do just fine.

I was born and raised in Miami. These reasons not to move to Miami are on the mark. Moved out over 10 years ago and don't miss it.

Born and raised in the Miami area for 18 years. The materialism and gold digger part is so true. It's honestly not the place to be if you hold any humble values. Like he said, the main positive part about this area is the year-round warm weather; but Southwest Florida experiences the same and so do the Keys if you can afford it. It's a much better city to visit than to live.

I’ve lived in Miami for almost 2 years, and it’s by far the worst place I’ve lived. Coming from the Midwest, I’ve never gotten used to the lack of character and lack of manners from the “people” down here. I keep counting down the days until my lease is up, so I can move back home.

I was waiting on this I just told a friend from Michigan I would trade all day and every reason you said is so true. Everyone screams they want to live in South Florida until they get hit with that summer heat and they run right back north.

Me and my wife went to Miami for 5 days. It was out worst vacation by far. The people were rude and self centered. The people had a really bad attitude. The customer service was the worst I've ever experienced. I went to a bar / restaurant and the lady literally never gave us a menu, when we did get one, she never brought us the food. Then she yelled at me for getting mad at them. I've never been to a place where they don't even bring you the food and menu! I had a $200 dollar dinner and the experience was just average! People honk at everything. People move to the city for the Amenities. Miami has none. There was literally nothing to do and the few things you could do closed really early. The price for everything was way too high for shitty service or value they provided. The hotel took our deposit 3 times and never refunded it and this was the first time out of all the places I visited that did that. And the urban sprawl is ridiculous.

I've moved from Miami to Dallas last year, after living 20 years in Miami. Every reason mentioned in this video is accurate, and that's exactly why I left Miami.

After savagely destroying the people of Miami, I was NOT expecting you to say: "I'm thinking of moving here."!! LOL

My experience in Miami was everyone was always really nice and ready to party hard. The Uber drivers pretend that they do it for fun. All girls are always drunk and acting trashy.
