What's it like living in Portland Oregon? Well, for starters, it's not Portland Maine, but it is one of the best cities to live in America for 2020! The City of Roses and it's surrounding Oregon towns (Beaverton, Hillsboro, Gresham, Lake Oswego and Tigard) is actually one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the country with a lot of people moving here from California and Seattle. If it's the largest city in Oregon and people love living here, then why shouldn't you relocate to Rip City?

Folks moved here to get away from the crappy place they came from, only to re-create it in Portland.

Lived here my whole life, heed my advice:
2019's rainfall was garbage so it's not a great metric. We get several days a year of half inch or more rain in a day. Sometimes 3 inches in a few days. Mildew is ever-present. In poorly maintained homes you will literally get mushrooms growing from inside your house.
- It's not cheap to live here at all.
- This is not a good place to be homeless, its always wet. When it's not raining, the ground is typically wet. When it's not wet, it's usually cold.
- We don't have a clue how to handle snow. There was a time about 20 years ago when the natives were prominent and we knew how to drive in rain and snow. Now we have so many transplants that the whole city shuts down when we have literally 1 inch of snow.
- The liberal culture is hot garbage. I'm 100% independent and I'm 100% annoyed.
- Kate Brown is making it worse by the day.

My advice: literally move anywhere else.

Grew up in Portland and unless you have a time machine to 2000 I would not recommend moving to Portland/Seattle...
