Damaging someone to an extend that that person will not be able to get back is terrible. It cannot be compared to some small act like cheating in exam. The intensity of ruining someone's life is not as simple as that. Damage done always matters. U can't compare a crime of murder to crime of thief. Damage done is different and so has to be the punishment

Almost everyone likes to take higher moral ground when judging others. I have yet to meet any single person who doesn't. Yet, I find myself totally naked and honest when I talk to myself. Like admitting that I would also grab an opportunity for self-gratification if it comes easily, readily, without conflict or much cost / effort. This is what sets humans apart from other species. Only humans kill for sport, not always for food. Our conditioning, training and learning decides for us how we use our 'superior' skills -- for survival? Or sport?

Playing with mind and don't keeping promises is way more than killing someone, punishment must be high, so at least fear can prevent others doing the same wrong act.we should set example.

In the SC/ST atrocities on women act, it is explicitly mentioned that this mode of extraction of sexual favours is a cognizable offence. If we generalise this, taking protection of weaker section to broadly biologically disadvantageous/limited gender, it is an offence in the eyes of law. Not sure that I agree with you... I ended with a psychopath in a marriage.. I used to think everyone is good.. believed that his horrific character was due to difficult childhood upbringing and had sympathy..finally I learn the most bitter lesson, that some people can be really cruel..even dangerous.. to an extent where they may even lead you to a suicide but don't care. toxic people are selfish to the highest degree. What about people who rape innocent.. yes we need to feel sympathy for such a low level of thinking but how can they be like most normal people.. this is heights of brutality.. We are all not at the same frequency or vibration. I am not like them, I love and care but not perfect, .yes if we work towards bettering ourselves, we can all be a greater human.

I'm a CA foundation student and in our business law book i have studied that according to section 17 of the INDIAN CONTRACT ACT, 1872 a promise without the intention to fulfill it is fraud and aggrieved party can sue the other for the same

But as there was no contract between them, she can't do anything

Well I feel this type of situation most girls face even in corporates and infact nowadays many girls themselves are desparate to further their career at any cost and don't mind doing all this but a person who has strong character/ moral values will never go for such short cuts...rather there are many other examples of being taken advantage of because a person is good at her job or not able to say no so people use them then take credit too for others work...such situations how can one help themselves??

The points aren't clear actually. People will get confused when they have to take decision during such cases. I agree with the shared principle and everyone is fundamentally equal. But we actually need good judgement about good and evil inorder to build good moral system and a good moral system delivers right justice and ultimately a right justice system is what we need to have a good society.Right justice only comes from a healed, calmer state of mind which can only be achieved by understanding the value of forgiveness and true forgiveness comes from the realization that we all are capable of doing both things. It is just consciousness and it comes from right education which might they haven't got yet.The truth is most people get right education after facing bigger consequences in adult. Some consequences don't give chance to rebuild while some can make bigger changes . But both are turning point and lead towards peace in everyone.So judgement and justice must not be separated as justice is incomplete without judgement. That's why those who delivers justice are better judges.
