Guys, there are people with low maintenance calories, because they are not tall and not active at all.
For example, my calorie maintenance is 1500, so 1000 is an ok number of calories to lose weight
Everyone is different

1000 calories a day is great if you want your body to think its in starvation mode and trash your metabolism. That's how much I ate when I was anorexic and it made me infertile and gave me hypothalamic ammorhea

You’re right on eating the lunch of 500 calories. I did that yesterday and it was absolutely helpful. Much better mid day big meal!

Eating like this makes a diet sustainable. You have a total calorie goal for the entire week. You eat more calories on some days and other days are like this. When you intentionally eat less calories on certain days. So on days when you’re more hungry. You can roll over those calories and add it to those up days. So that way, you don’t go off track. It makes the diet sustainable long-term. If you need to lose weight, long-term. A lot of people do this. They have a lower calorie days and they make up for it but having higher calorie days. They still meet their recommended calorie goal at the end of the week. Because every day looks different. A lot of people do this to get into a calorie deficit for long-term weight loss.
