Показать описание
Between the smartphone, computer, reading, writing, and driving, our head is in a forward position pulling the shoulders forward causing disc degeneration, osteoarthritis, disc herniations, and pinched nerves. Prolong forward rounded shoulders weakens and stretches the most important retractor muscles in our back called the rhomboids. This particular exercise will focus on the rhomboid muscles located between the shoulder blades, to help regain strength and support to fix your forward rounded shoulders.

Thank you for this video. I do several similar exercises and I am still in pain but strangely only  the right rhomboid. Yesterday, I had to write on a computer for over an hour and the right rhomboid was killing me. It also hurts after 40 min of playing the cello. Does it hurt because it is still very weak?

Hello Dr., My mother has had a back spasm for months and it's seriously bothering her. The doctor she saw gave her very strong pain killers and muscle relaxers but it makes her sleepy and dizzy. She does not want to live on medication but even after X-rays and an MRI, they can't find anything wrong with her. One doctor told her to just go walking. She does have poor posture as she has been a sewer/quilter for many years. You can feel the spasm on her back, between her shoulder blades on the right side of her spine. She bangs her back on the corner of the wall until it bruises because that's is the only way she finds relief to some degree. I've been watching your videos and wonder if she can do some of these exercises? She is 75 years old and had lung cancer about 10 years ago- and has been in remission. The air capacity in her right lung and decreased by more than 50% and her organs have shifted said another doctor. I wondered if maybe there is scared tissue from the radiation she received? She is also pigeon-toed when she walks and tends to stumble a lot too. I am not sure if that is related. She just made an appointment with a chiropractor to see if that will help. Do you have any suggestions that could help her? I feel so bad for my mom. Jeannie
