I stopped working out and started walking. It's incredible how much better I look and feel

Thanks Autumn! I definitely would prefer 10, 000 steps. It's so mind cleansing, and it doesn't increase my hunger☺️ I do like strength training as well, so can I choose both ☺️☺️☺️

My steps are in addition to any workout I do. I walk in my treadmill daily at about 2.5-3.0 speed for 30-45 minutes. To me that’s for my heart health amd mind clarity, it’s not exercise. My exercise is on top of that daily walk, be it rebounding, HIIT, strength, yoga/mobility . . . I walk AND exercise most every day now. I just feel better getting not sitting. Gettin that NEAT in all day every day 😉

I average around 15000 steps a day. That is an average of 8.5 miles (12-13 km ). Burning approximately 900-950 calories. I just take both my dogs and we hike across the fields around our home. It’s my downtime and I love it.

Urban hack; My freezer is empty of protein. I have to leave the house every day to but that night's protein. I take a bus to the best seafood market at 3pm and walk home or train to best chorizo butcher and walk home. Even if it's raining or snowing, my brain is blissing-out a recipe as I walk...

I am usually very eager to walk because I enjoy being outside and because walking gives me time to think and plan. I need more encouragement to do a strength training workout. Thanks for another informative video about the value of both.

Usually watch your channel on my apple TV so not comment and like friendly. Started the 10, 000 steps this week upon waking. Simple result, feel good and it is somewhat mediative upon waking. I do my 30 minute workout (push pull legs) later in the morning, depending on my schedule. About electrolytes I fully agree and LMNT is great. Really helps reducing cramping for me too.

What about lower body weight, butt and thighs? Seems to be sooo hard to lose thigh fat and tone legs.

I am the only one who literally looks 5-10 pounds heavier after a workout? I wake up, I look great. Then I workout (usually resistance training + walking) and then my waist appears larger. (especially the love handles) I know it can't be fat gain 😅... but what is it? Water retention in the muscles or fat tissue? I workout in a fasted state.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I agree with Autumn. Walking will burn more calories than a workout. Thus lead to more fat loss. It’s great to do both but cardio is king when paired with a slight calorie deficit.

Hi, would swimming count? I swim 40 minutes and walk approximately 5~ 6000 steeps. You are wonderful, your tips/advice are the best. Thank you 🌿

Another great video, Autumn. Thanks! I'm doing a little bit of both right now. Walk about 2mi every morning and then on Saturday when I have more time I'll go for 6-8mi. I'd love some input on food choices for lunch (my first meal of the day). The food videos you make look amazing, but I just don't have that kind of prep time. My work is super "on the go" and I tend to be most consistent when I can grab prepackaged things at the grocery store. Thanks for all the helpful content!

Thank you!!! This is exactly what I needed to hear! I'm on my second week walking 10, 000 steps. Before I started this, I could barely walk one mile without feeling like I was dying and now I'm walking exactly 4 miles which is 10, 000 steps for me. I have been doing about 3 miles of it at once but it hurts my legs more than if I do 2 miles and 2 miles so taking your advice, I'm going to do one 2 mile walk and then two 1 mile walks and see how that goes! I do have a tendency to sit too much so I totally see how this will be helpful!

Walking is great. However, sometimes it's good to switch up and do squats, situps, pilates or even yoga.

Do both! Why is it one or the other. 10k steps is just to stay active. It’s not healthy to sit around.

i'D GO for 10, 000 steps daily and then squeeze in strength training once a week after i've eased into doing 10k steps daily, then see how I feel if I can go like twice a week of strength training, then thrice, etc etc
