Help never seems to come fast enough when a disaster strikes but our governor, Roy Cooper and President Biden reacted before the storm went through. FEMA and first responders were in as soon as the roads were clear. This lady doesn’t know what is going on or what is being done. When all power, cell phones, roads are washed out it does take time. Be patient. Things won’t be fixed overnight.

There are four of you. What exactly have you done since being there to help besides gather information and post on social media?
I understand people want to help, I do too, but personally I believe unless you are there associated with an organization like Samaritans Purse, or have special skills… using a chainsaw, running machines to remove debris out of the way, fly a helicopter, nursing skills, distributing food etc, people shouldn’t just be showing up to “see what they can do” and posting on social media. In my book that’s not helpful.🤷‍♀️
How many are in your group? Do any of them have skills to actually physically help? Are you staying in a motorhome? In your vehicles? Or in hotel rooms? In my opinion you would better serve the now homeless by you staying at home and donating that money you spent (gas, food, hotel) to an organization that could put the effected people in hotels or buy more needed supplies. Sorry, but that’s my opinion. They don’t need bodies just walking around. They need people that can actually help.

I wanted to come help. But I'm 75, heart and lung disease kids arthritis. They NEED TO DO A HELLUVA LOT BETTER. They did come. I think to NC. Stood in one spot, looked around. Joe looked lost. Not the alzheimer either. He was normal. He was really lost for words.
She came down with her crew of like 5 guys. She stood there in her cell. Sith guy in orange talking to her. Then after about 10 min. Hand shake. And they're out of town. All photo ops.
Trump came to NC.... honestly I don't know what he said or did. I missed that.

Can someone logically make sense to me as to the people who hate government only until they need them? As in, these are the same people who want to defund government, yet they are angry when government doesn't have enough money to hire volunteers to help with a crisis? It isn't making logical sense.
