Having lived through hurricanes IRMA & followed by MARIA (2017) in the British Virgin Islands, in the Caribbean, our hearts are with you all. Our little island was decimated !!! Like you we had no cell phone, drinking water, power. It took years to recover. Many here still experience PTSD especially when watching hurricane tracks off the coast of Africa crossing the Atlantic Ocean. You are not alone. It will get better. It is going to take time.

Please let's get everybody with drones in this area search and make sure where there are people stranded I think the community needs to get involved especially with drone technology. Hopefully people will read this message pass it along to your friends that you know that have drones see if they can go and help in this situation there's several states where it would be much needed and appreciated I'm sure God Bless the people in this area this has to be utter Devastation for not just their beautiful home but everybody else that they know and love that was affected

Please listen to the HAM Radio operators. Many people who live very remote need help.
Also a shout out a mule ranch in NC. That are going to start a mule train to get in very remote areas

My hearts goes out to these people. They not only lost their homes; but, probably their liveyhood, as well. Everyone needs to donate; find an honest non-profit and donate.

People get criticized for living too close to the water in Hurricane prone areas and these people were high up in the mountains possibly hoping to never face a monster storm but yet homes were still swept away. So crazy and sad! 😔😔💔💔

Beautiful young couple. I wish them all the best. The best I can do right now is donate.

These numbers are extremely low. Buncombe county had 150 deaths alone yesterday at noon.

This is heartbreaking. That couple was so traumatized and it’s frightening to think of how helpless those people in remote locations are. Prayers for all the people trapped in remote locations.

My partner hasn’t been able to reach out to his grandma. She lives in the mountains in Transylvania county. Power and phone service is non existent in those areas right now :( we hope she’s okay 💔
Edit: we heard back from her!

It's important to follow up with reporting after the storm. Thank you.

I live in North Georgia. We just heard from close friends near Asheville. Thankfully they're safe, the devastation in their voices

Y'all need to come up to ashe county and watauga county and wilkes. It's so awful! I live in wilkes, and while we still have some roads closed and mudslides in areas, it's nothing compared to ashe and watauga. My family's road is gone and I still haven't been able to get in touch with my grandma and have no way to get to her.

Please stop referring to people without power as "customers." These are human beings! Something is very wrong with the state of our world these days.

I live in Hendersonville, there was no ample warning. They should have evacuated people on Thursday instead of Friday morning

We need to think about how we rebuild. This is the n ew normal. Nobody should ever have to go through what these people are going through. No part of the country will be spared from climate change. We can plan for it, and rebuild understanding this new dynamic.
