I love updating recipes. I have been using the same recipe for biscuits for years and after watching your video I decided it was time for another update. I switched to butter a few years back replacing the shortening. I added the sugar per your recipe and the cut and stack method. Dios mio! If the biscuits had been any more fluffy and flaky they would have floated in the air! The cut and stack method eliminates the extra time the hands are on the dough to fold it and as we all know, putting hands on the dough for to long will compromise the final texture. That little bit of sugar enhanced the flavor. Thank you so much. I will be making them this way from now on.

I finally found the right way to handle the dough-i had been rolling them with a wooden roller-not gently hand folding the dough. Thanks so much for this great baking video which is also so beautiful to listen to-like ASMR ♥

When I turned 12 my dad started showing me how to cook from scratch. On Sundays I always ended up making hot rolls. At times during the week it was biscuits. I liked making biscuits cuz I liked cutting them out.

Found your biscuit making recipe here on YouTube a few days ago. So today, 3/8/2024 I made them. AND ——after about 50 years of trying to make a good biscuit (I am 79)——I finally did it. Your recipe and video of just how to do it…..worked out great for me. My biscuits raised up and are very light. Only difference I used buttermilk and a smaller cutter so got 10 biscuits from the mix. TY for this post. I’ve subscribed.

I bake all my own bread, cakes etc and have for years and years, I am always changing my biscuit recipe because they are meh. I made yours for dinner tonight and they are wonderful. I had to cook mine a tad longer ( probably my stove's problem :) but yum yum. I've finally found a go to biscuit recipe that I don't have to keep searching for. Thanks for sharing.
