Now it's more important than ever for us all to take a moment each day to be still and reflect on our thoughts and actions 🧘🏽‍♀️. Love what Vishen says at 13:04, You can find the answers to what ails you inside yourself. 💎💯

Here is something that I have to remind myself about sometimes: Self-discipline, being able to keep commitments, promises and meet deadlines is ESSENTIAL to success. ✨💪

I love this idea of meditation. It works well. Meditate on the word of God day and night.

I have watched that Ray Dalio interview a few times already but i never "noticed" how you asked him whether meditation was the thing that helped him get out from under his emotions, profound question, soo profound and accurate description of what the relationship I am trying to build with my own emotions! Thank you for an amazing show!

I love when you have guests that talk about meditation, it's so powerful! I'm about to drop a video where I explain why I believe Gary Vee is deeply spiritual without even realizing it, and I used a clip from your interview with him🔥

You know what, I thought I'm not getting any benefits from meditation after a few months of doing it, but I think back to one time my dad lost his phone in the airport and threw a fit making it everyone's problem but then I just switched to this state of problem solving and was able to find a solution under all the stress and just found a way to use "find my device" because the ringer was off. Now this sounds like an obvious thing but in reality, I reckon if I hadn't meditated I would've gave up or something like that and we potentially would've had to buy another phone. Now, I'm not at a point where I can just access this flow all the time but it did indeed benefit me at some point after the practice.

I'm on and off but I notice a significant difference in my outlook and overall well being when I'm meditating consistently. I am a worrier; it was a learned behavior from my family. I'm trying desperately to change but so difficult... Not saying impossible, just challenging. I'm an amazing person and so much more when I have that peace of mind meditation provides. I'm going to keep banging this tree until it finally falls!

This way that people are using to handle stress in their life, like using meditation. Somewhat baffles me. I was a De-Stress therapist in a clinic that thought yoga, meditation. There were other types of therapy. My therapy produced the best results.
People/patients, would come to me, when, therapy and medications weren't working for them. I did not teach people meditation or mindfulness or yoga, what I thought them was this. Accept who ever, what ever, and every situation you come in contact with. In the beginning of the therapy sessions, we would work to find what they wanted out of their life.
So, with each daily encounter with what ever or whom ever, they were to ask themselves, How is this helping me to get what I want in life. If, the situation didn't pertain to helping them, they walk away from it. If, it pertained to helping them get what would be of benefit, than, they would open their mind to what is about to take place.
Lets look at it another way. That which you cannot place your hands on, is not of concern, you cannot do anything to change that which you cannot put your hands on or incorporate it into your life to be of benefit to achieving what you want in your life. Once, you develop this habit, this practice, you will be able to live fully in the present.
So, what happens when you live fully in the present, your conscious has been absorbed into what is happening in the moment? You are in a meditative flow.
There are four principles that I teach.
1. Accept everyone and everything you encounter in each incoming moment, which means to always be in an open minded state.
2. Take a genuine interest, your full attention is solely caught up in what is being process at that very second, you are free of judging what is right and what is wrong, good or bad, negative or positive.
3. The second that activity has ended, you let go of it, if is forgotten like it never ever happened.
4. You move on to what ever is coming next.
For decades mindfulness and meditation has been around in America and it just isn't catching on. Why? Because, our brain isn't one that wants to be lived in a passive state. It wants to explore, it wants to be on an adventure. So, why do we want to meditate? I think it has to do with this. I like the life I live, so, meditation allows me to live it.
I like watching the news, I like engaging in negative conversations about people. I like the negative feeds I get on social sites. I like the arguments I get into. Meditation allows me to find my balance.
This is not how our brain wants to function. When a baby comes into this world. It will live the first years of its life without any interruptions from the conscious mind, because, the mind hasn't come on line. Which is a very good thing. Imagine, if, the mind was present at birth, the baby would not learn how to sit up, crawl, walk, learn a language and so on.
The way the brain functioned in the beginning, still stands today as it did in the past. If, you do not know how to silence the mind. You will seek out those who have found a way to make money to teach you how to meditate, yet, not teach you how to use the brain.
How do I know this? Its my turn to make money off what I know. Sorry, Robert Greene, reading people isn't what we are suppose to be doing. Unless, you like to socialize or live in a negative themed world.
