It definitely feel weird on the toes, but mid foot/ balls of feet feels I can pull with more power. It takes practice especially if you have flat foot

As a highschool athlete in track, I truly wish my coaches actually saw these videos. We are always told to land on our toes. Everything about toes. And I did get injured but it was a high stress, almost fracture in the shins. Not in the foot or ankle

Obviously, usually they mean just don’t run on your heels as it slows you down

i started first running on my toes when i wanted to run faster. i figured it would make me run faster since very fast natural animals like deers land on their toes.

I remember when I started training, I used to run with my whole foot against the floor, I got shin splints. After that, I ran on my toes, I got shin splints and my calves got stiff, now I run on the ball of my foot, I’m fine 👍🏽

You have to land on toes when sprinting to get stretching shortening cycle which produces way more force + you have mor stability for directional force of the toes

One thing is the inversion or the heel going inwards is due to the amount of force they put into the ground, you don't want to focus on turning ur heel or landing on the inside or outside of ur foot

This is correct and I confirm it just from running. Barefooted enough. I have seen improvement in my running. You do run on the balls of your feet. If you run barefooted it helps. It causes you to point your foot more instead of bleeding with a heel. You don't want to land on the toes. I'm not even sure how that would be possible, but if you run barefooted you will probably find yourself trying to grip the ground with your two big toes as you land on the balls of your feet. And if you're landing on the balls of your feet, you'll find it to be less impactful on the knees and hips. Ultimately being a better run all together.

I walk on my toes by instinct because I got traumatized after walking bare foot on a snail shell.

My coach works on form and he says get your heal off the ground about 1/4th of an inch and that’s how you should land when sprinting upright

when im running i personally run on the ball of my feet and put extra power in my toes to push off harder, i have a very long stride so this works 100% for me.

It took me until I was like 25 to realize you weren't supposed to have Max plantar flexion throughout the entire run

Too high on the foot leads to Achilles tendinitis 🏃

Word I tried that and it didnt work. Did that for a while thinking it was helping. Caused pain and injury to my big toe that thankfully healed. Went back to landing on the ball and things felt better and more fluid

For me it feels completely normal cuz I used to be walking on my toes all the time and to be honest I was faster than the most of my friends so I guess it's true and it's not litterly running on your toes it's mostly the end part of your feet not the toes anyways give it a try it's way faster for me than normal running with the whole feet.
