I've been doing sprint intervals for 3 months now. There is nothing in this world that I have ever done that compares to the benefits sprinting has done for my health. I wish I would have started it 20 years ago. But there's no time like the present to get started.

I run about 6 miles a day and two days a week I do sprint intervals. Sprinting is outrageously beneficial. Do it before you lose it lol.

The muscle ache is intense, so I only sprint every other day for now, with the weekend off. I stopped jogging, though. Too much time needed, and after only 2 weeks of sprinting, I feel better overall than after 15 years of jogging. Sprinting is definitely the workout made for humans. Funny thing is that I got muscle ache even midfoot on the sole, weird feeling ... Never experienced that before (I sprint with barefoot shoes, though).

I'm a 66 year old male and have run distance forever. I started sprinting in April and it has been transormative. The first 6 weeks were painful and I had to learn to give my body recovery days...Anyway, I love this video especially the parts that demonstrate warm ups, hill sprints and backward runs. My transformation has seen my body cutting up and weight going from 194 to 156. Diet is important too... Don't forget to load up on protein and drink water.

At 55 years old, and just starting, twice per week is enough to keep me sore the whole week. I'm hoping I get used to it after a while.

Sprinting is amazing, I’ve been doing it for a while and it’s incredible improving your technique is really good how you develop your legs and anaerobic cardio, transfers good to sports but daily for many people can be dangerous in get injured

Cheetahs are the fastest animals on the planet and can catch any prey easily. However, because they exert so much energy on those sprints they have nothing left need time to recover which opens up for slower bigger more powerful animals like the Lion to take their catch. Maybe explains why only certain people living in certain climates and geography’s were able to sustain their genetic speed through future generations. I would think that fast twitch muscles would be a negative in most of the world where endurance was needed to hunt and travel long distances in harsher climates.

I prefer explosiveness and speed, as it’s good to know you can out run and out jump the average Joe. I worked in Construction years ago, and I couldn’t keep up with much older slow twitch dudes. My instinct was to do everything fast and hard, I’d have old timers tell me to slow down that’d I’d get more done and not tired out so quickly.. back than I didn’t understand the fast versus slow twitch science. Now, I am finding out that if you want to be fast and explosive don’t do jogging or endurance training…do everything fast to develop those fast twitch muscles HIT training.

I remember reading how the Roman military would recruit soldiers mostly from farms and avoided athletes as they couldn’t withstand a 50 mile daily March carry 90 pounds of equipment without tiring easily.

I have high blood pressure, but my physique is lean and I'm young... Took a few sprints today and my blood pressure went to normal blood pressure for a couple of hours and I feel great.

Bros don’t forget that while sprinting is an awesome exercise and it is mostly superior compared to steady state cardio for building muscle, cardiovascular fitness and improving hgh levels; do not forget to research more mobility and warm-up routines to reduce injury risk. Be careful and watch your body to any signs of injury specially in the ankles, hamstrings, calves and quads.
