This is exactly what helps even fast bowlers (including me) in cricket. Striking is extremely underrated and unexplored by most sportspersons. Thanks for this video.

I think a lot of people when they start and are told to increase their stride length will reach as if leaping. the cue should be to feel the posterior chain on the down stroke and extend through the hip to produce a forward force vector and then also allow the foot to bounce and direct that force into cycling the knee up keeping the moment arm of the leg small

I used to strike and strained my calf. I changed to reaching and pulled my hamstring... 🤷🏻

I love the awesome sprint cheat codes, thank you so much! From what I’ve learned from it, would you say that doing high knees as a drill/warmup will help you strike below you and reduce ground contact time (at end speed) ?

Reaching makes your running weaker because it puts your legs away from your center of mass.
