Ever since I started reading about this and watching your videos, I recognized the signs. What works best for me to manage the anxious attachment style is any sense of achievement. Whatever gives you a metaphorical pat on the back. Most recently it’s been strength training, something that is never thought I would enjoy. It’s a very simple mechanism: if I can lift THIS what can’t I do.

Another aspect to this is the tendency towards relationships that activate that - ie with individuals who have more avoidant attachment styles. Thank you very much for providing so much information for those of us who maybe can't afford therapy or who can't find someone suitable to work with.

This neediness and lack of self soothing just caused me my 2 year engagement to the best woman I have ever known. I thought I could manage this better, on my own. Had a bad day and lost my ability to control my emotions and feelings of insecurity and lashed out with words - and it was never her fault in the first place. I am a fool, and should have addressed this sooner. I need to fix this problem.

Feel that l was never àllowed to have feelings. Mother always shouting at me. She always wanted to know where l was what time l would be home. Made me anxious and full of fear Did not allow me any freedom really. Sister always critical of me. Got to a point where l hated myself and made stupid decisions and didn't know what to do. Ended up having a total emotional breakdown

Anxious attachment....yep. Not getting our needs met as children. I need to learn to give that to myself. Doing ACA, and IFS work, listening to affirmations, meditation. Mirror work is hard, but should add it.

It’s hard enough to be like this. It’s even harder when your partner doesn’t care how you felt, just how you reacted. I’m trying to just be accepting that I was simply too attached and need to focus on myself and my life and my other relationships. It’s been hard and even if it doesn’t work out with this person at least I’ve learned about myself and I will be better at setting boundaries and cutting things off earlier if I feel it’s not a good match.

I find relationships "Way" too difficult because of my anxious attachment style. I received some love and affection in my last relationship, which seemed to heal the emptiness I felt within. I'm ok on my own and am quite content to be on my own for the rest of my life. I'm ok with that. If someone comes along it would have to be right in every way because I find dealing with other people extremely difficult.

Yes. its aweful. I know I shouldnt be like that and I end up pushing people away. I am not a type of person that can sit still for any amount of time, I find meditation and a quiet room frightening. I fight against inner peace. I cant even do drugs, as I don't like losing control. Even your calm voice annoys me. I am a mess

yes my anxious in my body i cant get my emotions out in my body and head i got last of thins in my self i am feeling trip in my self my live hard in my body and i cant do this an more life i Am feeling sad and lonely my is draining because iA m shat down my life i cant do this on my won an more my life
