I do a 36 hour fast from Sunday night's dinner until Tuesday at lunch. Which usually turns into a 40ish our fast. It has helped me identify the difference between psychological and physical hunger. I have learned that the longer I push it the better I feel. When the hunger hits real hard I drink salt water and it goes away in 20 minutes. Oh yeah and got rid of prediabetes, high blood pressure and obesity. I'm now at 14% body fat and all my tests come back terrific

I have just done a 36 hour fast, and carried on for 41 hours; no problems could have gone for longer, then done some housework and went for a 3 mile walk, I must admit I'm feeling a bit woozy now still not bad for a 71 year old

I’ve been doing 36/12 for a week and a half now and I think it really is a lifestyle I can stick with! Am down 7pounds from 161 to 154, and as a 65 year old woman who is 5’3” tall, I think that’s pretty incredible. The fasts are getting easier and easier, and I have no urge to overeat on my eating days. Thank you for all your terrific videos. You’re not crazy, but you are wise!

I've been alternating between 17 hour and 48 hour fasts (and everything in between) for the past 2 weeks and the inflammation in my ankles (pitting edema) is almost entirely gone! My shoes fit!!!

I’ve been doing the 36/12 since March, I had to stop mid-April because I felt I was losing too much too quickly. I lost 45 lbs. This was balanced with clean eating, strength training and HIIT, all basic exercise stuff, nothing crazy. I feel my muscles are catching back up again and I’m back on a 36/12 and working on this stubborn visceral fat. I’m dealing with some insomnia but it will pass, I’m 59 and was convinced that diets would not work for me, and I was right. Fasting has been about lifestyle change not dieting. Also God’s been good and the desire for beer and sweets has been lifted, that’s been a big plus. Thanks for the videos, they help and are great encouragement.

I am 65 - work full time and did a 36 hour fast, then a 42 hour fast this week and on day 1 of another 36….. felt fine at work even though I am SURROUNDED by coworkers who eat ALL day. I am down 10 lbs. there is something very motivating when you know you are in autophagy.

I've lost just under 40 lbs. I just started alternate day fasting about 3 weeks ago, and it is much easier than I thought it would be. My schedule does not allow it to happen every other day, so twice a week, I so a 36-hour fast. The rest of the time I do intermittent fasting, and my schedule for that is usually 18:6. Sometimes I do 20:4. I'm 55 and i definitely feel that I can do some type of I.F. schedule for the rest of my life!

I did a 92 hour water fast and lost 18 lbs. I did it for the reset and I wasn't disappointed. Decided to do a four day fast weekly

36 hour fasts have become second nature to me. Usually they have been more like 40 hour fasts. I do this 3 times per week and do a 16-18 fast Sat.-Sun. and start over again. I started fasting on the first of May this year. I wasn't able to get a scales that could handle my weight until the 16th of June. I weighed myself and reweighed again on July 2. Long story short, 23.8 lbs. gone. So it works people.

36 Hour fast every Fasting Friday starting with lunch on Thursday coupled with 8-16 the rest of the week. Down 40 pounds and have maintained for well over a year. Energy is through the roof. Dr, Mindy

I just did my first 36 hours fast and I am humbled by the way God made us. Thank you Dr. Mindy ! I prepared for 5 weeks cutting all carbs and sugars and did only 2 meals a day with a 12-15 hours each day. Cut eating out which was my lifestyle cause my job is crazy busy, but I made it ! and my readings on my blood were so encouraging I started already with moderate ketosis 0.8 and ended the fast with 3.3 optimal nutrition ketosis and glucose 72. I hit a difficult moment at 34hours, got cold but I took my minerals and my lowest glucose at that moment was 60 and 4.4 ketosis. I am 50 and overweight 40 lbs for a misdirected advise of a doctor giving me hormones for my peri menopause symptoms. This is absolutely the most wonderful way to heal our bodies . God bless you Mindy ! And stay on it everyone ! I haven’t weight my self but my pants are looser which is great but more than anything my body is healing !!
