I’ve been fasting for 2 weeks. 36 hours Sunday night to Tuesday morning and then I fast 17 hours from Tuesday - Sunday.
I may be overdoing it, but I have so much energy. I’m sleeping like a baby with VERY vivid dreams which I haven’t had in years, my cognitive function is through the roof and I’ve lost fat but kept all my muscle! Life changing

Failed at a 48... I have done intermittent fasting with less than stellar results. On hour 35 of a 36 and I feel great! I believe for me this is the sweet spot, a 36 once a week with intermittent in between. Turned 58 today and have lost 23 lbs since May 21, fasting to NOT get type 2 like my dad has.

I had my 75 year old type 2 diabetic mom on a 16/8 IF, reduced her carbs, restricted refined sugars, and increased her fats a little for 6 months. Despite her age, she’s very active, can hold long and interesting conversations about decades ago, drives an automobile, and can care for herself. She dropped a lot of weight and her doctor took her off the diabetic medication. Her doctor told her to keep doing whatever she was doing. She never told him she was fasting because she knew he’d try to discourage her. She’s really considering the extended fasting. I’m so proud of her. I’m a firm believer of this.

With the price of food, I’m going to be doing a lot of fasting now 😉

I started doing 32-hour fasts every other day and have lost 25lbs in 6 weeks. I keep an eye on my weight loss and track it every other day....update on 3/17/2023...38lbs lost thus far.

UPDATE 5/15/2033: I've hit a massive wall with losing weight. I haven't gained any weight and still down 38lbs, but I cant seem to break the barrier.
I'm still fasting 32 hours every other day, but I've also incorporated A LOT of weight lifting to help build muscle. Once I build more muscle, I'll see about losing more fat.

I'm 108 hrs into a 120 hr fast and I feel amazing! I'm truly not hungry. I'm having coffee with mct oil and that stuff is amazing and makes the fasting so much easier. I get a teeny bit hungry once in a while but can easily ignore by drinking water or something. I'm trying to get below 200lbs and I'm at 210 as of the other day so I'm doing this fast to see how much I can lose. Most of my hunger or desire for food is just missing the taste of food...not true hunger at all. I want to break the habit of eating 'just because' and fasting is really helping in so many ways. I'll never stop fasting...it is life-changing for me. I'm 66 years old and female and have had no problem losing weight this way at all.

Starting my first 24 hour fast today! Won't eat again until dinner tomorrow. I've done 20 and 22 easily, so figured I give it a go. Thanks for all the info you share!!

I am doing 40 hours a day in day out, and lost more than 5 kg in a month. My photos are impressive. I take a good breakfast, then Lunch, and by 15 pm I stop, next day no food at all, eat on the day after the fast by 9am. Completely worthwhile.

I've been doing a weekly 36-hour fast (today was 40) for the past 3 months. I'm used to it now, (I usually skip eating Monday) and I feel like it's a kind of "reset" that I need on a weekly basis. Every week I say I'm going to go to the third day but then I rationalize that I'm at least being consistent and that 36 hours is just enough. I have gone to the third day before and my new goal is to do that once a month or every 6 weeks.

im currently doing ADF 2-3 times a week ( m, w and most of friday, take the weekends off ) and its been great so far ( over a month in ) weigh loss has been steady but not drastic .. 2-4 pounds a week and eating well on my "eat days" with some splurging when i see fit ... working out 3x a week on days i eat as i have more energy .... i was a long tim intermittent faster 16/8 and that just was not working for me, was not moving the scale needle ..so i think ive found the sweet spot for "me" wish everyone well

I just done a 72 hour fast which was really hard for me. But i decided to eat a little more then i should after my fast and that was not good. Live and learn. But i did feel so much better before i ate food. Going to a 36 hour fast this week.

Did 2 36 hour fasts this week with relative ease. Imma do this 3 times a week & with bodybuilding & conditioning, I'm hoping to get in a lean conditioned physique by the end of the year.

EDIT 1: For anyone who wants to know, I've gone from a 40 inch waist to a 38, can see visible abs (only top 4 & side obliques coming through) and I'm still eating crap food on my eating days, such as frozen pizza, ice cream, crisps... but I'm still hitting my 200g of protein. Honestly, best diet I've ever been on. Flexible diet didn't work too well for me, keto was great but hard to maintain & high carb, low carb, no carb was effective too but atm this 3 day 36 hour + fasting is working wonders! Just need to get rid of the rest of the junk food & my fat will literally incinerate away!

Edit 2: I have done 3 36 hour fasts till early May. The fat loss has been insane. I have very visible abs, but the mid section is still undefined. I'm 36 inch waist and was able to maintain a good amount of muscle during this time period. My performance in the gym was OK at best, but If it wasn't for a high amount of caffeine I wouldn't of been able to perform well. My muscles feel more dence but not as pumped as they usually are. Overall I dropped a serious amount of fat in 4 months. I recommend this diet for a short time period, to remove some stubborn fat. I'm no longer continuing this diet as its too demanding with the bodybuilding. I'm now cycling back to my high protien, low carb diet, as I need protein to build/maintain my mass.
I only used termopure from myprotien on fasting days as its a thermogenesis supplement, I think it made a solid amount of difference, especially with caffeine being a appetite suppressor. Any questions please ask an il try to get back to you ASAP!
