Four low calorie, high protein meals to help you lose weight and gain muscle. Remember that the food itself will not magically help you lose weight nor gain muscle. You need to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight (consuming less calories than you burn) and eat enough protein to build or sustain muscle mass (I try to get approximately 1g per 1lb of bodyweight. This method is easy to calculate and do for many people. However, if you want to get really specific, you should be focusing on grams per pounds of lean muscle mass).

I love spaghetti squash. I also grew up eating it because my grandpa found a way to grow them wayy larger than how they usually grow. He makes them a little different though. He cuts them in half longways and puts them on a baking sheet face down for 40 minutes at 350 or 400 degrees. And then kinda rakes them with a fork and makes beef and tomato sauce to throw on top. Super yummy. Also super great with just butter, salt and pepper

For the fried rice I recommend finishing it with a dash of sesame oil. All it takes is a tiny bit but it adds so much to the aroma and taste.

The salad and fried rice gave me some good foundational ideas I will certainly be using! Learning systems and methods of how to prepare food that minimize mess, waste, and time has made a world of difference in my life. When someone has truly no idea where to start, showing what kind of cookware to use, how to efficiently use your space, and how to handle food (being aware of meat cross contamination, but not fearing it/cutting tough foods etc) is so impactful. It's a genuine barrier people face when wanting to better their lives, and not making fun of anyone who wants to learn from square zero is the first quality of a good teacher. You're doing real good work here!! ***my only constructive word is I got spooked when you applied pressure on the squash with the knife facing towards you; I was taught if you gotta push hard, make sure you push away and not towards yourself

For a second there, I was like, "but when do I put the gorilla mind protein in the mix?"

Also, I laughed when you mentioned to mix the chicken by hand, because it reminded me of my roommate catching me playing with the chicken pieces while cooking. I was flinging them onto the frying pan like they were marbles. And I'd try to get further and further away testing my skills and power playing "marbles" with the chicken.

spegetti squash with olive oil salt and pepper is my go to, but my mom would make it with butter and a pinch of brown sugar. all the meals looked so good have a great day patty💖

I dig the stuffing mix! When I first got married, my husband and I were so stinking broke so I used oatmeal in my meatloaf! You are so disciplined, patty! I weigh nothing and measure nothing when I cook! lol! Guess it’s cuz I’m feeding a family, but that’s my excuse. Love 💕 patty’s kitchen vids! U are a jewel 💎! Top is so punk on you too! Super cool!
