Bob and Brad - I just went back to this old video and my heart was warmed by the wonderful relationship and easy humor you two have always had. What a wealth of knowledge you two have "out there" for us! Still watching Brad and Mike, but there is magic in these older videos! Love you guys! Thank you for all the good you do. I had my first ever TMJ exacerbation a few months ago and it was really painful and scary. With the help of these videos I recovered in just a few short days. Now I occasionally watch this video to remind myself to do these exercises and be more mindful of my jaw. I am so happy we have these two most popular physical therapists on the internet!

Not sure if you will see this, but I’ve been having pain in my temple area and jaw area for the last 3 months and my doctor could not figure it out. I stumbled across this video and within 3 days I’m 90% better. Thank you for giving me my life back! My pain was so debilitating with the tension headaches and pressure.

🙏Whenever there is a problem with TMJ or mouth opening, chewing food, you would like to tell you from experience that while eating food, keep equal amount of food on both sides of the tooth inside the mouth and chew it slowly or eat soft food, hard things like Do not use copra, gram, brackish etc., exercise the mouth daily before going to sleep at night and after waking up in the morning and keep taking protein and calcium in the diet and be happy.🙂

Thank you for this video it really helps me get over the pain with these exercises and also the posture techniques too. I have been in therapy for my neck and shoulder to include my posture due to constantly sitting in front of my computer. You guys are awesome.

Today was my first experience with TMJ and it has been awful! Positive it was caused by an ill fitting OTC nightguard.

I found your version of this from 6 years ago and the facial massages worked a bit. Then I did this neck one and... THE PAIN 100% WENT AWAY! I'm absolutely in shock! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Do you have any tips for things you can do to prevent bruxism? The internet is very lacking and the dentist is pretty dismissive about at home options.

On the left side of my face, I have had upper jaw pain and a constant nagging dull headache for a week. I did these TMJ exercises and the pain relief is obvious after 10 minutes. Thanks

Thanks! After trying the neck massage, my pain was learned by 50% and I was able to eat lunch much more comfortably. Hopefully with time and consistency on my part I’ll be back to pain free in no time.

Do you like (recommend) the exercise of holding a cork between your front teeth then moving the lower jaw frontwards and backwards 30 times, then from side to side for 30 counts. I saw that a dentist had recommended this for TMJ.

Everyone who suffers from Tmd: you should check if you have a TONGUE TIE first and get it released, that’s often the root cause other than posture. Lots of people have resolved chronic pain and issues just from getting the tongue released and doing mouth and body posture exercises along with tmj exercises.
