Thank you so much for watching! What other topics do you want us to cover?

What I love about your channel is how much one learns about how our bodies work, even if the disorder being addressed is a non-issue for the viewer. I look forward to all your videos.

Thanks you for this information. I went to the dentist this morning after having headaches for more than a week. They told me about TMJ and I had all the symptoms so it checked out.
They’re making my guards now. Typing this comment as I make your recommended exercises. Thank you! ❤

I still remember how shocked I was in school when we covered TMJ. Honestly I've fallen out of practice with it, great refresher here!

🙏Whenever there is a problem with TMJ or mouth opening, chewing food, you would like to tell you from experience that while eating food, keep equal amount of food on both sides of the tooth inside the mouth and chew it slowly or eat soft food, hard things like Do not use copra, gram, brackish etc., exercise the mouth daily before going to sleep at night and after waking up in the morning and keep taking protein and calcium in the diet and be happy.🙂

I think I’ve been experiencing this the past week, I have fibromyalgia and my doctor said it’s common with it, it’s so annoying it’s hard to swallow sometimes and my throat feels sore but there’s no infection like I wasn’t coughing so I was quite confused at first. Thank you for this video!

I have TMD (torn, displaced discs with an open bite) and found myself strongly agreeing with your advice. What I would add is 1) I have found TMD symptoms can be exaggerated by my neck posture and strength. If I am not careful with the forehead head posture then it causes a lot of stress on my jaw and it goes into severe spasms. Besides the exercises in the video I have found that strengthening my upper back and neck has been helpful (basically thinking holistically & not just where I am in pain). It doesn't get rid of the pain but it stops it from being even worse.

2) I don't know your opinion on splints but a night splint has been helpful with grinding my teeth. My problems started from this and although I asked a dentist he didn't feel a night splint was appropriate. I then went onto tearing the disc in my jaw from it and still grieve that I didn't listen to my instincts. So irrespective on how you feel on splints my view is people need to trust their instincts and don't let problems worsen.

Now what I struggle to work out is the difference between muscular problems or trigeminal neuralgia. Even my neurologist and maxofascial surgeon cannot tell me which I have (or if it is caused by my displaced, torn discs or bite) - so I don't expect an answer. But describing the types or characteristics of pain might help clients with their understanding to know which specialists may help. Thanks for the video!

Very helpful and well done. This doctor is excellent in his explanations, sympathetic but not condescending. Interesting that a night mouthguard wasn't mentioned -- that hasn't helped me.

Thank you so much . I have stuffed for really bad headaches for years. Also tight upper back muscles. I do wear a mouthguard a lower one and upper one at night. But I am looking forward to doing these exercises daily so thank you so much.

Everyone who suffers from Tmd: you should check if you have a TONGUE TIE first and get it released, that’s often the root cause other than posture. Lots of people have resolved chronic pain and issues just from getting the tongue released and doing mouth and body posture exercises along with tmj exercises

Thank you so much for your clarity. I wonder if massage helps. And another question, is there a time scale for complete recovery ?
