focusing for hours would be a dream come true for me. I'm going to get checked monday.

I think the anxiety stems from the constant feeling of overwhelm we all feel we are constantly in our head that we forget the present

I so resonate with the anxiety reduction. It keeps my thoughts from spiraling into anxiety-generating patterns which is lovely.

As someone with Adhd and really bad anxiety, I was suprised with how much my meds helped with anxiety.

The anxiety reduction is what blows my mind just starting 20mg Vyvanse and it’s wild how much more chill I feel

I think that Adhd for me can be cured but only if I live alone and work alone ... i don't focus at all next to my family or coworkers. I just like to be alone and being relaxed and calm to at least reduce the severity of it

Same! I’m using meds just 3 days and I already feel that I can just sit normally and work for hours, I’m not nervous after a minute of flustration and my anxiety (which is severe!) is so much better..
I’m so happy that it works. But I’m really sad of so many things in life which were abondantes or missed because of not treated adhd..

Make sure nothing in your body is being depleted from the meds u might need to supplement or eat more of, my mood crashes went away after i started forcing myself to eat

Thank you for making these shorts on ADHD! Can you say more about how the meds help to reduce anxiety? Since they are stimulants, this seems to be counter-intuitive. A full-length video on ADHD medication would be great 👍

I’ve been on adhd meds for a month. I can definitely focus for hours, but the crash is bad and I can’t bring myself to eat. So by the end of the day I’m exhausted and have terrible headaches…I’m losing weight though 😆

This is one of the reasons I'm seeking diagnosis. I'm autistic as well and tend to get very stuck in my head which lands me in some dark places and the few times that I've self-medicated dopamine agonists they've massively helped. I felt calm and clear which allowed me to function, but also to relax

It took me forever and years of misdiagnosis to finally find a med that worked for me. This video perfectly describes my experience.

I take concerta and I cant deal with the digestive issues and lack of appetite. Also sometimes the hyper focus is too much to the point that I end up dehydrated, hungry, and super tired feeling terrible when I crash and finally realize I've been working non stop for 6 to 8 hours. It makes me feel not human

Ive just taken my first dose of adhd meds today. I am 37 years old. I was a drug addict from the age of 22 to 33 and then cut the drugs out for alcohol from 33 to 36. Taking elvanse feels exactly like taking speed and coke. I feel like ive been sniffing a few lines throughout the day to stay level. I find it quite mind boggling how people are talking so gently like they deserve these drugs and they have saved lives, almost celebrating their prescription of meds... yet if you were sat here sniffing a line of coke everyone would call you a junkie and would look down on you. I found a solution to my problem in my 20s, unfortunately it was illegal. Now they are giving it to me in my late 30s and i have to pay tax on it.

Shrooms, exercise and eating clean helps me. Never tried my meds but they're there... I'm tempted

Dude it changed my life. I only take them when I need to (usually just week days)

I would reccomend reducing caffine consumption with certain adhd meds (Stimulants like Methylphenidate and Amphetamine). It can make the medication more potent and usually not in a great way. Also dont consume anything too acidic or containing a lot of vitamin c an hour before or after medication intake. It does the opposite and can potentially reduce potency by binding to and neutralizing the medication.
