I agree, pretty much everything you talked about is something that happened to me. I started working out far more, i lost alot of weight (30kg) in 4 months, routines work, sleep work (never had a proper sleep routine), less distractions, less garbage chatter, less appetite. Walking was a big one, started walking 2 hours a day. More productive, calmer, fitter. For me it was a miracle drug.

Those who develop and make possible ADHD medication are true Heroes. They saved my life by leveling the field so I can play the game or life with my God-given habilities and learned skills and knowledge. It's literally the bridge from that odd unexplicable paralyzing anguish to smooth action❤

Reminder everyone: Everyone responds to meds differently. And it’s ok to take your pills! 🤗

I am more on the “severe” end of adhd. My entire life turned around since going on Vyvance. I had a high tolerance out the gate, and continue to take it as prescribed.

It has changed my life and helped me go sober. Don’t overthink it. If it works for you, keep going 👍 I love positive reviews like this. Too many people trying to stigmatize the drug.

I suffered far too long for 25 years without it.

Pros: I fall asleep at 9pm every night. Anxiety is almost entirely gone. I no longer abuse substances. I can focus and I no longer feel agitated. I can do simple tasks like laundry, or choose not to do it without being overwhelmed. I can simply function.

Negatives: A lot of of the Internet saying ADHD doesn’t exist. It is truly a miracle for me.

I am so happy for you! I start mine tomorrow after 33 years of not understanding why I absolutely suck at life despite trying harder than many people around me.

As an older adult and recently diagnosed I have been on my meds for less than a month. I can tell you that I cried at my diagnosis because everything made since now and I cried on my first day of taking my medication. I never what to be without meds again. I’d say for any adult just to not dwell on the what ifs.

I’m tearful listening to this to know that a clear mind is possible. I don’t think I’ve ever had that before

When I don’t take my prescribed Vyvanse, my ADHD induced depression and MANIC behavior kicks in instantly. I’m talking late 5-6 am nights and constant mind racing. Overeating and binging. Not being productive. The downward spiral is REAL. It can last for months, and everything you said resonated to the point. Super grateful to have my life back. :’)

Thank you for the video. 🇧🇷

I discovered this year that I have ADHD and began treatment with Ritalin. I can relate to the feelings you expressed. It’s tough to be like this, but now I feel like I’ve had a “eureka” moment. Many things I used to do, and still do, now make sense. I’m 27 years old and in my third year of medical school. In Brazil, we have to pass an entrance exam to get into university, and it took me six years of trying and hating myself because I couldn’t achieve my goals.

I know I’m just beginning the treatment, but I feel like someone I’ve always wanted to be but thought I could never be. It’s fantastic to sit down and study. On the first day I tried Ritalin, I was able to do something that used to be horrible for me: sit, read something, and understand it with focus without needing to read it again. It’s one of the best feelings of my life. I feel confident, certain, and attentive. I understand it’s just the beginning, but I feel like the best days of my life have just begun.

It's good to see you are still updating us on your journey. A lot of people seem to stop after a couple of videos. I am glad that things are coming together for you. But i guess its time for me to stop procrastinating and watching everyone else's medication journey and start my own. I need to get my life out of the toilet. P.S. you look great with your hair up. 👍

I’m 50 (still feel and look 35!) but this last year post-Covid has been my worst ever for work, sleep, exercise, being agitated etc etc …all the same comments i read everyone else making. Until 3 months ago I never had a clue my ‘normal’ had a reason for all the inconsistency and troubles. I have been diagnosed and awaiting meds prescription in the next week. All the reports so far indicate the meds make a massive difference and I cannot wait to find a change. Antonia thank you for this video.

I am on day 1 of Elvanse, my first ADHD medication. I’m on 20mg, and I can already feel the effects quite a lot. Today is going to be a good day.

Still having problems with meds, my own fault, starting/stopping, mainly because of sleep issues. Insomnia for ever before I started the meds, worse after taking them. Memory issues, forgetting to take meds, losing hours/days, but trying to find a way. I appreciate you taking the time to tell us your story.
