I would love to see a video about how to be kind to yourself for making mistakes in a relationship/contributing to unhealthy dynamics

I don’t feel connected to the signs of codependency, I have my own hobbies, life, goals, I know what I need and I can set boundaries. However I still find myself being the rescuer, not as in fixing their lives or anything extreme. Just being the strong one in relationships and not seeing the signs in the beginning because I empathise with people (I’m 80 percent secure, 20 percent FA) what can I do to make these last bits more secure, and stop attracted adorable little wounded birds? 😂

Much needed listen.. I feel like a rescuer hoping to be rescued, but have trust issues.

everybody can learn these things about realtionships in relationships, even if u do not feel completly "ready" to be in one. i feel a lot more ready than some years ago, but what does that even really mean? we are always not wholy prepared. you can learn to trust only by being in a relationship to some extent. these wounds were created in unhealthy, toxic relationships, so safe people are the right place to get all the lost back or discover them for the first time. my girlfriend helps me tremendously with some bad patterns of mine, i get to know my needs and through her setting realistic boundaries i learn that as well. sometimes i am scared that i destroy her bit by bit with my scared thinking or that i am contagious or that i am toxic on myself. we all have toxic traits yes. he helps me to love myself, even if we are different. she always proves my anxietys wrong. but some things you have to learn on your own, like not rescuing everybody. i think we all need someone lovely to learn safely with about attachment and that it can be lovely, that we are lovely individuals, soak up their humanesness to feel more human.

Coming back after a year. I worked on identifying and fulfilling my needs and not NEEDING someone (or being the rescuer)

Now it’s continue my work with boundaries and trust!

The strange thing is is that even though I'm a mix of all attachment styles I became a bit more secure before meeting my current bf, and I behave quite secure with him too!!

What if you’ve never dated before, want to get in a relationship, but every time you have a crush the only thing you can do is avoid them till your crush stops being a crush? I want to try to get closer to my crush and maybe even ask him out but so far every time I even think about it I know I’m just gonna back in a corner and avoid him. How do I overcome my fear of rejection?

what if you don't have any needs from a relationship? i feel like I'm supposed to want a relationship because that's what healthy people want/have. but I don't really want one, I'm very independent, generally happy, spend enough time with friends. even having to regularly go out with/meet up with someone indefinitely kinda seems like more effort than I could be bothered with! maybe I'm just too lazy for a relationship

Such great insight. At first I was looking at this through my black and white thinking and felt like I had so much to work. Now, I know areas to work on and improve while also being open to the right relationship.

Hey Thais. My DA partner went on to use bumble and made a friend there during the days when we were not on talking terms after a huge fight. While I know that this friend isn't something serious, does this still count as microcheating?
