This is exactly why falling in love is so dangerous. We sacrifice our personal desires and beliefs for the rush of that sweet dopamine.
A lot of the times we offer things or make sacrifices we can't keep up in the long run. Now you're not really being used, you just feel used because your partner is simply making use of the privileges you gave him or her. The moment you take those away is the moment your partner gets confused.. now you feel hurt and the house of cards comes tumbling down.

Fall in love, enjoy the moment but try to set boundaries early and be honest to yourself.

this was my whole ex. he refused to have serious talks with me, and guilt tripped me into doing all of his homework and stuff like that. he finally dumped me because i was "too much to handle emotionally". but thankfully im in a better and more healthy relationship.
