You’re in Gilbert?! I’m right next door to you in Mesa! Neat!

I have been having several issues throughout the years, and I’m just beginning to get a handle on some of them now. When I went into menopause, I started getting cystic acne that would not heal. It was horrible! I had peachy skin before that, and now I was getting these breakouts that NOTHING worked on! I went to a family doctor that prescribed me bio-identical progesterone, and that made my acne go away. But years later she wouldn’t prescribe it anymore unless I got a mammogram! So I had to go to a naturopath to get my prescriptions filled. But after a while the naturopath wanted me to come in more regularly and I couldn’t afford to. I ran out of my prescription the acne started coming back! I wanted to cry! I stumbled upon L-Lysine being good for skin problems including acne. So I have been taking 1000 mg. morning and night. My skin is clear again!
Other skin problems; I have had eczema since 2007. NOTHING I tried would get rid of it! I even tried going vegan. That didn’t work. I bought good quality fish oils. Didn’t work. I took ALL grains out of my diet. That didn’t work. I tried bone broth. That didn’t work. It wasn’t until I started adding MORE healthy fats to my diet, ie., avocados, heavy cream, macadamia nuts, grass-fed butter, coconut milk in my protein drinks with my almond milk, coconut oil, that I began to see a MAJOR improvement in the eczema on my hands! I’m not even taking fish oils right my skin is FINALLY healing from taking all of the aforementioned healthy fats! The eczema is about 95% gone since the first of this year! So, even though fish oils are healthy, they are apparently not the ‘end all’. (I am doing a sort of Keto diet).
Some days I’m short on time and in a hurry, so it’s all I can do to drink my protein drink with the coconut milk, and eat an avocado or two, for my ‘fats’. But I do try to make sure I eat fats with my supplements, as it helps to make some of them more bio-available.
This whole ‘fat-free’ craze that everyone is on is insane! We need the (good) fats to metabolize many of our vitamins in our bodies, or we become then we get things like eczema. And salad dressings or vegetable oils are BAD fats! People should get rid of them!
No one will ever be able to tell me otherwise! I am living proof of what the good fats can do! I am so happy to not feel like a monster in public anymore with the eczema and face breakouts! L-Lysine and good knew?! (I also take other amino acids too).

I am binge-watching your videos lately. You have lots of great info! I still have some other health issues I am working on eradicating. Thank you for all of the info you are sharing!

thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! I hope this becomes common medical knowledge for all doctors and rheumatologist. It's frustrating going to my family doc and rheumatologist as they are basically versed in filling out prescriptions and rolling their eyes at alternative therapies or ideas. Thanks you Dr Peter Kan :)

Very smart doctor. Thank God for people like him who educate hurting people with true science. My regular doctors don't discuss any of this. All it is what pill for your ill! You never get better.

Dr. Kan, thank you for this informative episode! I am curious to know why you did not mention ALA essential fatty acid? Also, what is your opinion on B12 supplementation of course based on individual bloodwork?

Hi- another great video! I have a question on the GI Resuscitation product. I've used this exact same product before but by Designs for Health called GI Revive. It worked initially but then quickly started giving me bad diarrhea. Is there another supplement or something I can take equally as effective that won't cause diarrhea?

Could you consider possibly videotaping one of your "Thyroid/Autoimmune Solutions Workshops" and posting it on You Tube for your out-of-town patients? Sure would be nice since you always mention how good it is for people to attend them.

Hi, I have Hidradenitis suppurativa, Graves disease, Hypothyroidism and Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT), also known as Osler-Weber-Rendu Syndrome, is an inherited disease that leads to malformed blood vessels in multiple organs of the body. I believe the HS, thyroid and Graves Disease are related. I'm not sure about the HHT. It could be effecting my O2 levels and circulation. My levels have been normal but I am cold natured. I am hoping to changes to my diet and supplements can help me off my thyroid medication and keep flares and painful boils from HS at bay. Listening to this video gave me a little more hope that there is something I can do and what I can focus on to being better.

Is it called Nitric Synergy, and not Nitric Balance? The latter is sold out at the moment.

It says, five must have supplements to support Autoimmune. But there are 6 right? 1. Acetyl Glutathione Pro, 2. Omega Pure Pro, 3. Hepato-GSH, 4. Nitric Synergy, 5. GI Resuscitate Powder 225g (8oz), and 6. D3 PRO 2000. Now to figure out which ones I can get because I'm almost at $300. Do you have discounts at times?
