The cue about the big toe is a game changer for me. If I don’t think about pushing from my big toe, I feel my hamstrings engage much more than my glutes. The only way I can get my glutes to engage more than my hamstrings is if I think about pushing from that big toe. This is so helpful. Thank you!

Big difference between not working and underactive. Also, underactive (or weaker) compared to other muscles operating on a joint or area could be a REAL issue.

He may have a point for some people's issues, but since we are all built basically the same there should be some basic maintenance exercise and/or stretch that will keep hips and back healthy, pain-free and functioning.

Precise indications to put the glutes in optimal condition. Big benefits for posture. Thanks, Conor

Thank you very much.. When you have had pain for ages(40 years) and no one seems to be able to give long lasting pain relief, you turn to research and educate yourself. These videos have helped me understand why a fused big toe joint has caused my body to respond in a way that has progressively altered my walking gait. I had been told to strengthen the glute muscles but realised this video makes sense - its the movements in this video that I needed to do - that big toe really matters!! Now m
my hamstrings are now not so tight, I'm walking with an easier gait and the pain from the lower back right down to the big toe is reducing all the time.

Well I don’t think anyone actually thought the glutes were firing at 0%.. they would be totally atrophied at that point. But many people could use better glutes and better glutes would improve many people’s overall condition

Cool video.

Suggestion: make a video in the future about common ab imbalances. For instance, overdeveloped/strong right side rectus abdominals and underdeveloped left rectus abdominals. Personally, it seems my entire right ab wall is more developed than my left 🤔

Another big fan, months already checking.
I have no words to express enough admiration for the content, with the context and the wording.
Thanks!!

I have back pain when I don't keep my quads and hamstrings, abdominal muscles adductor and abductors all evenly strong, when one muscle group is weak or another is too strong it forces my pelvis out of property alignment giving me lower back pain

Fact, I have right glute tight and hip higher than hip, the real cause is injury in big toe
Thank you so much for your information

All I know is that my back always feels better when I work on squeezing my glutes and trying to keep my pelvis more neutral and less anteriorly rotated. Glute activation style drills with bands have been helpful and I've used them on clients with good success
