4 Tips to Make Intermittent FASTING Easier

Here are four tips that will help you get through your next fast with ease — regardless of how long you plan on fasting.

1) Drink black coffee because it doubles your ketone production.
2) Add pure MCT oil to your coffee (ideally C8) because your body can use it for energy almost immediately.
3) Add pasture-raised butter to make your coffee taste awesome (#2 and #3 make a Bulletproof coffee).
4) Add a prebiotic (soluble) fiber, such as Acacia fiber. Your body can't use it for energy but your gut bacteria converts some of it into fatty acids that can turn into ketones quickly. Plus, it makes you feel full.

Well, it depends on what your fasting goals are. If it's autophagy (cell maintenance program), longevity and a decreased risk of developing a metabolic disease as opposed to testing your mental strength, then these tips won't be in the way of reaching those goals!

Black coffee definitely helps. I had no idea though that it doubles ketones. I used to practise alternate day fasting and black coffee with a little xylitol was the only thing that kept me sane on my fast days 😅

For anyone that never tried it. Melt your butter first then use a mixer for butter and mgt. oil. Ypur coffee will taste sweet, creamy and rich. Very easy on the taste buds

MCT oil direct from your transmission. Used for power steering as well, but never replaced.

Thank you for the info on acacia fiber. I’m be to IF and today is the 1st time I’ve reached a 25 hour fast!! I’m not hungry just start getting headaches … I just placed an order for the acacia fiber. I’m gonna research it a bit more but so far the stuff I read on it … this stuff is good. Thank you!!

Instead of coffee, I just have hot boiling water, with that I add rice. Great for fasting, keeps me full the entire day 😁😁

When you blend it together it’s great (or hand mixer). It keeps me full for hours.

Adding butter means no more fasting. You wont reach autophagy if your eating calories.

It’s true that it won’t impact ketosis, since there will be no insulin spike. However, you’ll no longer get the same autophagy benefits has you not taken them. I will say though, this would be a great way to break a prolonged fasting period.

Took me years of intermittent fasting, trying OMAD, and multi-day fasts to learn that the benefits of fasting that I wanted were partially lost if I had no energy, was in a bad mood or if it wasn’t actually helping me live healthier and longer. This is THE way to go (as per the current fasting scientific research).

This depends on the person tho I’ve seen research where in some people adding butter or mct oil increases their ketones but in some it breaks a fast. According to my CGM it breaks my fasts☹️

I just drink a cup of cold black coffee. Ice it down and chug it straight down without tasting it until the glass is empty. I'm too afraid to add anything to in fear it will ruin the fast lol
