Good advice Kayla, I want to add: look for the small signs that make all the difference. They will encourage you and keep you motivated. It's not just the scale. The other day I got out of the shower and dried off. As usual I wrapped a towel around my waist. Only this time 'it stayed up' without constant holding and rewrapping. It made my day. All day the thought of the reduction in my waist just gave me an inner glow of success encouraged me to keep going on intermittent fasting.

I unfortunately strongly dislike coffee but Zevia (made from Stevia and doesn’t break fast) helps me. Love your channel, I talk about it all the time!

My husband recommended your channel, and this is the first video I've watched. I really like how you got to the meat of your video very quickly. I have a hard time with most YouTube videos due to so much backstory and digression. So thank you for that. I also like they way you speak. Your voice is very soothing. Looking forward to learning more from you!

I wanted to chime in and say I'm another person who put on weight like crazy over the past two years - close to 35lbs over what I was in 2016. Overnight, I changed from a person who was walking 5 miles a day and hiking trails on weekends to someone who could barely crawl out of bed. It took a year and a half before I was diagnosed with Lyme and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, during which time I'd already put on 30lbs, increasing my fatigue. My SED rates were also high. The lack of diagnosis had been stressing me out, and the weight gain was making me even more depressed. Nothing seemed to work.

At the beginning of this month, I was advised by my doctor to try IF - at present, I'm doing the 16/8 method. I measured 176lbs on May 1. I have steadfastly resisted weighing myself all this while. I will weigh myself on June 1 and see whether it has made any difference. I came across your videos while researching what this was and how to go about it, and have been inspired to keep at it. I still have two or three meals a day and lots of water/clear unsweetened liquids, and feel quite good. I'm definitely sleeping better and have more energy. I keep coming back here to look at your videos every time I'm frustrated. Keeping fingers crossed that this will work. I just wanted to say, Thanks, Kayla.

Great info, I agree consistency is key. Focusing on fasting an overcoming that unconscious eating is the key to success. I’ve been on omad for 95 days And have lost 60lbs. I also eat at 5pm with my family. I use the one plate method and eat what I want, when I’m full and satisfied I stop eating. Keeping it simple will make it easier. Thanks for you sharing your wisdom.

I am so thankful I found you! I think it may be a divine appointment. I am 50 and feel like I have tried everything to lose the extra weight. Literally this year before I found you I had come to almost all the same conclusions about weight loss and food. I even wrote down my plan for the first time. I experimented with Dr. Fung and fasting. I found fasting very easy. But realized going for long periods like that was not sustainable. I found your YouTube and you drew me in. It was like me speaking to me! Except you were already on the other side...I was so incredibly relieved that some soul made it with the same mindset I have. This is my question. I stand all day doing very deep medical massage. Pure out sweating...by the time I am done I have nothing left to put more exercise in. Will this work you think without the miles and miles of walking? Perhaps as weight comes off I will have even more energy but right now I am slap worn out🤦! It's all I can do to manage three kids, a house a business and three animals...is there hope? I love your heart. You are such a treasure.

New subscriber watched a few of your videos. They are a motivation to me. I'm going to try your tricks and see how it goes day 1 is today. Do you think once a week weigh in would be good or what do you do.

Did you cut all alcohol completely? And approximately how many calories do you estimate that you consume in your OMAD? 500, 1, 500, 2, 100? Is that consistent each day, or do you eat more or less depending on how you feel that day?

I've made a point to add more vegetables to my diet so I precook most of them (green beans, sweet potatoes, lentils, quinoa, brusell sprouts, cabbage, broccoli, and toss salad) ready to go. My belly has gotten smaller, but I've noticed after eating my belly get bigger, it goes down by the next day. Anyone else experience this? Thanks

Was doing good the first three days. Had family over and ate a salad with tuna and drank water and put on three pounds. This is so hard to do. I don't eat much of anything now and I usually start eating at 3:00pm and end at 11:00pm. But, usually stop before that time because I have been tied. I quess I am just going to have to except that I am going to be fat. I am on blood pressure meds and every time I see my doctor he lectures me on lossing weight and I am now hating going to my appointments but, it's the only way I can get a prescription. I started taking my pills every other day to make them last longer. I can only think now of not eating anything at all. I really hate who I am now.

Hi ! just discovered your channel while looking for infor about OMAD. I have been IFasting for about 2 years now (16/8). Now I would like to change to OMAD. I am a mother of 2 and I think that Week-ends meals together are very important to me. As you are also a mother, I would like to know if you have any advice on how to cope with not eating with your family during one meal (lunch or supper). To me this is the hardest point. Thank you !
