Lose weight with this 20 Minute Weight Loss Walking Workout | HIIT for Seniors. The four exercises for seniors over 50 and beginners are in a pyramid HIIT format – we start with one exercise in the first round and add a new exercise in each round until we hit the top of the pyramid with all four exercises. Then we descend the pyramid and take away an exercise in each round until the final round has only one exercise. This workout for seniors can be done seated or standing and will rack up 2400 steps, more or less depending on your pace.

Do each exercise as fast as you can and modify the moves where needed. This workout can be done 2 or 3 times a week with at least a day of cardio rest in between.

I've worked my way up to two different workouts a day. They're short, easy to squeeze into a busy day and a wonderful break for the mind. Our family had game nights during the holiday break and weekends. I even got the kids involved every hour of sitting. Walk in place for five minutes.

I am so glad I found your channel! Thank you so very much for sharing. I have struggled with mobility issues for several years and finally although an extremely uphill battle, I'm making progress again moving forward. I realized how still my body has become from lack of movement but today I was able to some of the exercise sitting and some standing. YAY! Here's to 2024 and more movement! Thank you!

Adding incrementally heavier weights as you increase stamina, makes this a very effective and attainable HIIT workout for beginners. I added 3 lb weights and kept moving, even during the rest period and I was sweating at the end. I will keep this video in my workout rotation!

I had to give up walking outside for my .9 of a mile or full mile. I’m caregiver for my mom and she got anxious when I was walking the neighborhood 20-25 minutes.
This is so wonderful. I can get my steps in, get my heart rate up, and the core movement is something I hadn’t been doing.
Thank you so much for this.
Rain, snow, dark, I can do it anytime. After a brief rest I go back and do an added 10 minutes.
