Matthew is a great man. He knows what he’s talking about. It’s so easy to get swept up in someone’s attractiveness and forget about the other superficial things. The things that matter is what you should seek in a quality person. He has talked about these things before specifically attractiveness. I remember when he said it’s incredibly sexy when someone stands up and says that I don’t care how attractive you are, I’m going to stand in my own power. Something like that. I felt that. You know, not everyone has emotional intelligence and that’s not something can be taught. Either you have it or you don’t and he has it. His fiancé has it too and so does everyone on his team. I fell so hard for a man who didn't care the same about me, bent my values when I shouldn't have. Its a learning process

i was just struggling with this realization the other day. My ex was my first everything and i still believe in terms of chemistry, education, same ambitions, "kindness", attractiveness - he was the most compatible to me and I'll never be with someone as " perfect" as him, there might be chemistry at best, but i might end up unhappy nevertheless.
Truth is, he was a narcissistic misogynist coverted opportunist who only used me as his punching bag and punished me for everything bad in his life even though i didn’t exist in his life at that time.
I dont think I'll be happy. I just wanna be a sane person.

A hundred percent. "Hell awaits" indeed. I have been down that path. Some men are charming and charismatic and have some power but they would make you feel nobody if not terrible behind the scenes.
I learned that I really have to MRI a man’s heart over any kind of appearance and status combined. MRI the heart.
