Can you do a similar video for cooling down?
I am much more likely to skip a cool down than a warm up. I tend to do a couple of stretches but I rush it to get home to cook or sleep

Actually tried those jack-knife things you did in one of your other videos today in the gym and holy fuck it killed!!! I must have got one hell of an endorphin high from them cause I couldn't stop giggling afterwards. Keep these coming hon, you're so motivating and make exercises that would normally scare me to death seem doable. :)

Great video Jordan! Totally agree with what you said. Just a couple of little things about static stretching and dynamic warm ups.
Static stretching as part of a warm up is not a bad idea if you know you need the mobility to perform certain moves. Alternatively, do mobility exercises with the foam roller or trigger balls as you mentioned. It's not the best idea because a muscle that's been really stretched out produces less power, which in the case of crossfit, is quite important, so a balance needs to be found.
Dynamic warm ups are a great way to hit that balance. Dynamic warm ups are literally any movement that takes you through the full range of motion. Ideally, your dynamic movements should mimic the movements you'll be performing in the actual workout. This way, you're preparing the muscles to work, and giving them just a little stretch. For example, an air squat is a dynamic warm up for a back squat. @Jordan in particular, try avoiding letting your limbs swing and bounce at the end of their ROM. The bouncing can actually cause injuries. Use muscle activation to control them through ROM. for example, with the arm swings, think "trying to bear hug myself" vs "slapping my shoulder blades"

Burpees! Only a few months ago I couldn't do any at all without dying but I do so many at boxing and at a new gym course now that I'm at the point where I can do a decent amount. I still get that 'oh god, burpees' moment, then remember I totally got this :P Thanks for the warm up tips! For some reason I feel uncomfortable warming up in the main gym but at least there's space in the changing rooms!
