Day 9 of our 25 days of movement is to get your arms overhead.

Our shoulders are one of the most mobile parts of her body yet we tend to minimize the amount of time that we spent overhead.

Not only is it a natural movement, it's also a symbol, of power, strength, and accomplishment.

At the same time it's an all too common movement that's avoided due to pain, stiffness, or progressive weakness.

And because we know that we aren't all cookie cutter, find a way to get your arms into an overhead position.

Hang from a pull up bar. Do some pull-ups. Lift or carry weight overhead.

Getting yourself on the floor to do downward dog or just a few to move your arms overhead.
