Rest of the story:
OP moves away, gets engaged, and his foster parents reach out to explain. He goes back and they say there was money missing from their emergency fund and they assumed he stole it without asking. After some digging, OP finds out it was a family friend who used the money to buy a new car and blamed it on him. OP confronts her in front of his parents and she confesses and his parents apologize. He doesn't forgive them and gets married to his fiance. His foster parents keep reaching out to apologize and eventually his fiance convinces him to forgive them, but not have a relationship with them. He does and they have a kid the end.

😢 sadly, many foster families only care about two things
1) government check
2) abusing and traumatizing the kids

In an emergency foster home the mom had us come in the family room. She poured lighter fluid on herself said "you made me do this" and lit herself on fire.

Fun fact: parents can not kick out their children without at least 30 days notice

Getting in trouble for buying takeout when we werent aloud to cook ourselves food without permission. She would only cook a certain amount and expect it to last several days and I would eat my portions faster because I ate more. Therefore I needed more food, she refused to make more food to accommodate it. When I ordered food with my own money shed get mad. Not allowed friends over, no one was allowed to know where the house was but her biological family could have friends over etc. She had her guy friend over all the time knowing I was getting away from my mom who brought guys home blah blah blah. And I was the issue and "the workers make you so entitled" like yeah thTs what their job is to make sure were getting treated right

when i was 17 my boyfriend passed away. a couple days after my boyfriend died my foster mom screamed at me for 20 minutes straight telling me im selfish and ruined her christmas spirit (he passed december 1st and this was now december 4th) and that i “stole her joy” because i didn’t want to come out of my room and decorate the house with her. i was MOURNING THE LOSS OF MY LONG TERM BF. she was a very very mean and manipulative lady who should have got her foster license revoked years ago. i got out of there as soon as i graduated hs

That’s is so rude I can’t believe they would say that if I were them I definitely would love a foster child like my own foster children are kids who don’t have families and they are blessings I’m sorry you had to go through that OP I hate when ppl are like that, their friends are probably not right abt anything! 😢❤

My children were placed for several months while my state investigated my son passing (SIDS, standard practice here). During that time, my autistic 5 year old and freshly 25 month old (to show how recently she became ready for potty training) were sprayed with the jet setting on the hose/cold shower anytime they had a wet accident. My 7 year old broke the arm of a 13 year old who was beating her brother's head into the floor. My 4 year old was called "Punky Brewster" and told "your dad doesn't love you" because my ex l
moved back to his home country before I found out I was pregnant and my now husband and I had agreed that we would tell her she was adopted when she turned 18. These people were insane. They had several other children in their care and even the case workers noted how they treated my children differently and made racist remarks toward them. The craziest part is that it was a black couple, my two oldest are Hatian and Chinese and my younger 3 are Mexican. I'm Scottish and Native American. None of us are "white". How are you being racist right now!?! 🤦🏻‍♀️
They DID go to prison because I pressed charges when my children told me so that's one less abusive hone out there.

Oh I’ve got one, I’m not a foster kid but my family fosters. So these two kids who came to our house for an emergency removal, the dad had kidnapped the younger son and fled from Romania to bring him to the US and then they had a daughter (who wasn’t there) cause they sold her into trafficking. … so that’s definitely the craziest, don’t worry son did get back to his mom safely

Summary: family kicked him out because their saved funds went missing and a friend told them he probably stole it, the family friend actually stole it to buy a new car and OP told foster family the truth and they apologized but he didn't invite them to his wedding due to being excluded during childhood and not being trusted by foster parents

I feel so bad for you. I was in foster care myself. They don’t care about you. They just care about the money.

I worked with a foster who was also a sunday school teacher. She told me that once her brother turned 18 that the foster parents and he started fighting all of the time and they kicked him out. Once my co worker turned 18 all of a sudden the foster parents started arguing with her as well. As an older person she came to me windering why the change and I explained that they were no longer getting paid to foster them and had nothing to do with her. I helped her get her license and an apartment and slid extra hours her way to help out. She ended up moving her brother in with her and another friend.

As soon as the social worker left, I was informed how much I had to pay weekly to "keep" my bed, and told I was responsible for getting my own meals elsewhere.

I was in a foster home and it was very bad I was around the age of 7. And I almost got sent to juvie because I did not tell my foster mom what I said about my "brothers". Even though I didn't say anything about them. I was standing the doorway of her room crying and her yelling at me for a whole week.

It takes being a heartless monster to not adopt a kid because you don't like their race. It takes being a heartless human to intentionally adopt them to make sure you deprive them of getting parents that can actually love them. To steal that from a child. The seconds, minutes, months, years they could have spent healing and putting out roots were eaten up until they legally didn't have any time left and then they kicked him onto the streets. The only valuable thing in that home was the child, now without them in it theirs nothing to lose.

I know someone that happened to also, she was lucky my brother had a home for her. No more money no more love, they just never cared.

So not every foster kid who is kicked out is a victim. My friend's parents were foster parents. Well once they fostered a young boy maybe 16 or so. The foster parents kicked him out because he slept with my friend and her sister stealing both of their virginity. The younger sister I think may have been in middle school idk. At any rate the boy was lucky her dad didn't do more to him.

I suspect Op's foster placement couple (cant even call them parents, too disgusting to get that title) kicked op out on 18th birthday bcuz the flea bags (foster placement couple) would stop getting state money. Then tried to shift blame to someone else as to why they were kicking Op out.
