Morbidly Obese CHAIR/STANDING Workout / Mobility Issues/Seniors/Recovery (No Equipment/No Impact)

Показать описание
Today's workout is for morbidly obese people, people with mobility issues and seniors. You can stand or sit, or do a combination of both depending on your ability. It is a true level 1 beginner workout complete with a cool down period at the end for people who would really struggle with a regular 'beginner' routine.

I did it with timed intervals so that everyone can go at their own pace. I encourage you to do what is best for your body and ability. If you need to be seated halfway through, sit down. If you'd like to increase the intensity you can - use weights, speed it up, or increase the range of motion.

It's a 25 minute workout with light stretching at the end to finish it off. There are 5 circuits, each with 3 different exercises. Even if you can't complete the full workout today, come back and try again, or even start from a different circuit to work different muscles and keep it fresh. I really hope this workout benefits people as I notice there really aren't many inclusive resources on Youtube.

In addition to very obese people this workout could benefit people who are: elderly, disabled, asthmatic or COPD, heart patients, surgery recovery, bad back/knees etc.

If you're still reading this and you prefer a more intense workout, head over to my workout playlist and pick something that looks good.
I have all different types of workouts -full body, legs, arms, with weight, no weights etc.

If you prefer ALL STANDING workouts, check this out:
If none of those suit, you can always skip the 3rd circuit (typically on the floor) and repeat the 1st or 2nd circuit of another workout.

YESSSS FINALLY! I'm 600 lbs. A police dispatcher working 12 hr shifts sitting in a chair. 10 minutes of this kicked my ass. This is excellent for when nothing is going on in my small town USA PD at 3AM! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

Watched this video out 8 months ago in decided to give it a shot. It kicked my butt at first, but I kept doing it for a few weeks before moving onto harder workouts. I'm now down 130lbs, from 460 to 330 and I'm now training to run a 5k. Thank you for posting this and helping me start my weight loss journey.

Edit: Today is exactly one year since I started tracking calories and working out. I am now down to 254lbs, over 200lbs lost in just a year! I am seriously grateful to Holly for making this video and helping me kickstart my interest in fitness and getting my weight/health in check. I still have about 70lbs to go before hitting my goal weight, but I know I'll be able to make it there. To anyone reading this who was just like me, DO NOT GIVE UP! It gets easier, but you just gotta do it every day, that's the hard part. But, it does get easier.

I absolutely love that you have these exercises available for people who feel like giving up because the “beginner” exercises are still too difficult to maintain for people in your target audience. I am a 31 year old with severe trauma stored in my body that makes consistent exercise difficult. This is wonderful, keep up the good work!

As a morbidly obese person I feel relieved and empowered by and am getting comfortable exercise through your videos. Thank you so much.

As an obese woman myself (275lbs) standing yoga poses help build your core, which will help with everything! No need for anything on the floor, until much later. Thank you for doing this.

As someone who’s 450+ this was incredibly accessible! At first I thought it might be too easy but I was sweating by the end and feeling the burn! Videos like this are so appreciated!

It's my first time doing your workout. Daily i do toughter exercises, but i decided to try this one so i do 3 days fast and hard exercises and 2 days something lighter. At first your workout seem easy, but when i done it i got tired and sweaty 😃. I love how many different exercises you put together, it's not boring! After two months i lost 22lb and i was 328llb! It is a long and rough journey but believe me its so worth it. It gives so much happiness, and teach you how to love and care about yourself! I wish all of you good luck!❤❤❤

I am so limited by my osteoarthritis in my feet and knees. I lose a significant amount of weight and then my knees and/or feet begin hurting significantly that I can't exercise regularly and there goes the lost pounds creeping up on me again. I have been so frustrated by this cycle. Thank you for this video. It helps me to have exercises that don't bring me to my knees literally. I love being able to sit or stand while working out. You are a God send. Ty.

WoW! Thank you so much, Holly. As an obese woman with genetic knee issues, I really can't do any exercise with high impact. A friend sent your videos my way just a few days ago and I am thrilled! For the first time in my life I can work out at home - no judgement, no fear of being unable to walk afterwards, it's amazing! I have your channel bookmarked and I am so grateful to see workouts led by someone who looks like me and understands what we can and can't manage.

Dear Holly, this changed something inside me. I gave up looking for workouts even I can do for years... everytime I tried I ended up sweaty, red and depressed 5 minutes after the start of the video. But today I could really do the exercises that were shown, even a bit faster. This means so much to me! I love swimming and biking... and walking is meh, but ok. But now being able to do sports at home without the excuse of bad weather is great. Its the first time I have a smile on my face after a workout :) Could be crying happy tears right now. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I fell in the house the other day and couldn't get up without EMS help. This workout is my start on rebuilding my endurance and strength. Thank you for this!

I wish I could give this a like everytime I complete this workout. I'm so thankful for this! I've stuck to this workout 2-3 times a week for 2 weeks now! I know that's not a lot, but i already feel better in my knees. And I feel good after having completed it even though I know I'll get sore the day(s) after. Thank you so much! And good luck to anyone trying to improve their health <3

I will be 58 this years, and I literally feel trapped in my body. I have a dangerous occupation, and have had many broken bones, torn muscles, and herniated discs. Even though I continue to work, I have all but stopped doing any fun activities due to pain. Eating is my only solace. I have tried many work out videos, but I have either injured myself more, or gotten discouraged by watching younger, lighter, healthier people jump around. I know I need exercise for my mental as well as physical help, but I just couldn’t decide where to start. When I saw this video, I thought “Here is a person who understands where I am in life and wants to help.” Thank you. You have a new subscriber. ❤️

Thank you for the workout! I admit denial of how big I’ve gotten is real. When I saw the first workout was marching, I was thinking, “wow, this is not a workout, good grief”, but I decided to try it anyway, because I haven’t exercised in like 3 or 4 years! 😳 Ask that to say, when you are morbidly obese, this IS an exercise. I wanted to be done half way thru. But I stuck with it, and I’m so pleased to say I exercised today. Thank you, thank you Holly!
