Cardio doesn't kill gains, but skipping it might kill you 😳

Hey guys, I get this comment whenever I even say the word cardio, so I really wanted to address it. Here's my honest opinion and some tips! 💪

If you only care about bodybuilding, excessive cardio does burn excessive calories, meaning you might not build muscle as quickly. 🤷‍♂️

However for most of us who care about health first and foremost, cardio is a great tool to get many benefits at once. It's especially useful if you're an athlete! 👊

If your main focus is on improving your speed, endurance, or skill in a cardio based movement, I'd recommend doing that while you're fresh (before or separate from a strength workout) 💦

If your main focus is on strength/muscle/skills but you'd like to implement cardio, a good 10-20 minutes after your workouts can go a long way. 🙏

Good advice.
Also, you will want to train the heart to be able to handle sudden increases & fluctuations which will make it better equipped if a heart attack hits.
Whether you're walking or jogging, or doing something else, a sudden burst of speed periodically (like sprints) is needed too.

I walk at a fast pace and long strides on trails about 3 to 4 miles 2 or 3 times a week. I've done this for the past 35 years and it has kept me in extremely good shape.

Big agree 😊 it’s definitely more work to incorporate a lot of cardio into your routine but in the long run it’s so worth it.

I just can't get enough of cardiom not running or jumping, but walking and cycling, those ae my favorite hobbies ever

Because if Cardio killed Muscle,
than Basket🏀Ball players wouldn't have any Muscles, at all.

ALSO, Foot🏈Ball, Base⚾️Ball, ⚽️Soccer⚽️, 🥊Boxers🥊, etc.
All Run during Practice, and in Games

maybe if you do cardio right before working out you wont have energy to workout. thats why i jog in the morning and workout in the evening
