I mainly associate ‘cardio killing gains’ with bulking since, to maximize muscle growth, it’s recommended to be in a calorie surplus.

Thus, too much cardio -> burning calories which could potentially put you at a calorie deficit, thereby ‘killing gains’. Although I think it would be more realistic to assume it would slow down your progress since you won’t be building as much muscle at a calorie deficit in comparison to a surplus.

In my plan I have a day all alone just for cardio. Sometimes, I play 20-30 min cardio in the morning, lifting at night. Cardio is great for a better shredded shape. Do cardio guys!
